The Manchester United Thread: That's It. That's the Joke (Part 1)

Yeah he’s around somewhere.

Their attacking depth is Ighalo, James, Mata and JLingz. Saucy.

What I dont understand is the NBC crew last night were saying that Utd were expecting to put in another bid for Sancho today, but that it was expected to be turned down. If TV Studio no marks know this, then what is going on? Is it all theater?

Very fascinating to watch the Manchester united transfer saga unfold. They are not getting the deals they need to do done. Seems like panic has now struck.

I don’t even understand ManU’s thinking on all this as a wide forward like Sancho will definitely make the attack better, but may make the difference in what 2 games? ManU need a central defender that can run, outside backs that defend, and anyone that can do something in midfield other than Bruno. I mean de Gea isn’t anything close to what he once was, and will need replacing, but right now even replacing him isn’t a priority.

If it happens, Dembele as a purchase is a very risky proposition. Loan, and see if he can stay fit and find some form? Fine. But to buy, with so many question marks? Not for me Clive.

Hah! Or the spider in his office corner that gives him transfer tips, a la Charlotte’s Web.

Say, that’s some pig!**

They have Henderson in reserve to be fair, so De Gea if he goes shit again can be replaced.

Problem with Sancho is, he isn’t forcing a move, he might be happy to move but he isn’t open about it, where Thiago evidently wanted only move and that was to us.

If I was Sancho I’d look at Man Utd and stay put, Liverpool maybe a consideration next season and with Mbappe in transit somewhere the options may be wider. By not going to Man Utd now you are hardly missing out on a once in a lifetime move to play for one of the best clubs in Europe.

That boat floated some years ago.

Dembele, one of the few football players that makes Matip look like an Ironman.

I can almost guarentee Dembele would be a huge flop again. And for arounq1d 50m, jeez those thick heads, didnt they watch him at Barca. Unbelievable. I am sure i can do twice as better than Woodward in transfers, that how useless they are.

If they spend £60m on Dembele I’ll actually be angry at them for taking a flop off Barca’s hands and giving them money to invest in their rebuild.

I once read a manc post that 130m for AWB and Maguire is the best transfer they ever did 🤦🤦🤦

Barca will only piss it up the wall as usual.

I’m happy if it means United miss out on Sancho.

Anyone think there bid was nothing more than an effort to appeal to the fans in a kind of “we tried” demonstration?

Have United started doing what we used to do?

Wool over fans eyes about how we are putting bids in the all these superstars, before ending up with either over priced injury prone players, or just straight up dross.

The thing that baffles me most is the continues search they appear to be on for reinforcing their attacking options. With Martial, Greenwood, and Rushford, they have the options and players to score goals (in the right system), but their midfield and defence are shit - they should be investing there surely and not on their front line.

Oh well, long may it continue. We had 30 years of waiting, hopefully their wait is as long, if not longer.
