I hope you have a chance to listen to this in higher sound quality than this at some point. It’s a track from the best sounding record I’ve heard released this year.

Worth a short extract of higher quality just so we can get an idea of how good it really is. Shame about that quality. (Link to a commercial site for downloading).

Yes, I know this over three months after but …
Anyway, this is fantastic as is the previous Scott Walker track you posted, Nite Flight. Believe it or not, I’d never heard this before. I suppose one could imagine that David Bowie might have been listening to this prior to recording Scary Monsters. Maybe.
Well I only came to them late by reading a blog on Bowie, it seems they were both written in response to hearing Heroes, and the supposition is Nite Flights was written to Bowie from Scott. He certainly did listen to these a lot I think, even covered it badly with Tin Machine. Never made the connection with Scary Monsters but now you have pointed it out…hmm. Nite Fljight is my favourite all time record, I just cannot get where the fuck it came from or what it is, is it post-punk or disco, or like Walker, pure genius. Even the Finnish version

possibly the most perfect female vocals i’ve heard ever…the music could be better, but hey , its nightwish
Something German…
Guten Tag, Ich will mein Leben zurück (I want my life back!)
What I love about The Carter Family is the simplicity of the music. Two women, one playing a guitar, the other an autoharp. A.P. Carter sometimes singing background harmonies with the women. Through over two hundred songs, this formula never wavers. There is something utterly captivating to me about the way Maybelle Carter plays the guitar. Each verse is preceded by a short guitar break. She’s playing a bass clef lead while also strumming a rhythm. Surely, she is one of the most important guitarists of early recorded music.

Forgot her name, forgot the song; but there was this odd humming that just wouldn’t go away.
You found it yourself this time then?
