I thought an owner can sponsor it’s own team as long as it is regarded as market rates. Volkswagen sponsor Wolfburg, for example. However they can’t sponsor them for €billion a year.
Oh god not Blue Origin in the shape the rocket!

You have to assume the major US or India capital injection could open up more sponsorship possibilities.
ArcelorMittal or Amazon. My guess is the latter, perfectly allowable so long as it is market rates.
I have a feeling it won’t be Amazon because frankly it doesn’t need the promotion plus football is a so cult like.
If it’s a Bezos firm it will be one of his others.
Maybe it’ll be one of the other members of the group - we could certainly use a bit more steel in midfield ![]()
That would look rather nice as a design.
Does he have another firm which is able to pay us £80m a year?
Tbh I hope it’s Amazon and they pay us £100m per year.
It’s Jeff Bezos he can generate that cash.
Amazon will also likely be blue potentially the Prime section of the company. However if you look at shirt sponsors they are rarely big brands.
Agreed. Spectre seem a good shout, they always say they don’t want publicity but then they always have such audacious plans.
Just when you thought we’d run out of reasons to fucking despise Twitter.
Spectre? Fuck.
Glad Daniel Craig is a red if that’s the case.
Daniel Craig, John Oliver, Samuel L Jackson, Clive Owen…Liverpool fans could make an action movie, with Oliver providing comic relief.
David Morrissey as well. He even chose You’ll Never Walk Alone on his Desert Island Disks.
Could have Mike Myers for comedy effect as well
Anyway back to the owners.
I understand letting the people you appointed to get on with their jobs.
But someone somewhere up the chain should be doing annual or half-yearly performance reviews to check how their employees are doing against their objectives.
By any objective measure, Hughes has failed spectacularly.
By appointing the right people (Klopp, Edwards, Gordon) FSG have significantly increased LFC’s commercial value ( and that’s putting it ligjtly).
But equally, if you appoint the wrong people in charge, that value can diminish sharpish.
The one thing that does give me hope ( bear with me) is the data analytics that could in theory be the best in the world, with AWS and that co-owner of FB…surely that means we could have the biggest and best possible access to all relevant data that even compared to with whatever is used now , we could have a team that renders that dead…not personally bothered by all the talk of data and all that personally…but the co-owners will have the very best at their disposal.
Or am i misunderstanding?![]()
That’s only if someone from LFC football operations decides to take advantage of any sort of AI tooling that AWS might give LFC access to. Remember, Bezos no longer works at Amazon. LFC would have to purchase those services.
And anyway, Football-related data is something that is unlikely to be something Amazon web services can help with,
