I agree with you. The only advantage I can think of off the top of my head is if all Liverpool matches were available exclusively on Prime. I’d have absolutely no objection to that, to be honest.
Depends how much they charge for them. At the moment, I effectively get any Prime football for free (I get the subscription from my employer for home office supplies) and I am sick of dealing with DAZN and Sky for the others. I currently have a standoff with WOW - I have cancelled all my subscriptions and I am waiting for their best offer to turn up in the mail.
In fairness, I don’t have a problem with Amazon as a service/supplier. They are great to deal with. It’s their behaviour towards staff and suppliers that I have an issue with.
Many on here are clamouring to pay what they see as the market price of ~100m+ for good / unproven (but not top notch players) if that is where the market is at. Other clubs participating in this market are selling their soul to billionaires and it looks like we are also “looking down this route”.
Are we willing to accept a little bit of spending / transfer austerity to avoid having someone like Bezos invest? In general, I don’t think supporters are.

The potential investors in Liverpool FC are planning to eventually obtain a controlling stake in the Premier League club, according to people familiar with the matter.
A group led by Amit Bhatia, the son-in-law of steel tycoon and billionaire Lakshmi Mittal, is currently negotiating with Fenway Sports Group for as much as 30% of the club. The potential buyers are considering how to eventually take control of the team, which could include the group buying more equity in stages, the people said, asking not to be named discussing private information.
"“Look, John Henry (the principal owner) and FSG have always said that if there was an interest in an investment that would help the football club, then they would consider it.”
I’m not an economist, I’m an electrician, so is there anyone who can explain to me why our club would benefit from a cash injection? It seems to me that the money just disappears into the FSG’s pockets, given that owners aren’t allowed to simply pump money into the club.
