The Owners - FSG

Who are they???

Yes, they do - but when it comes to the details they’re better at appealing to emotions than reason.

I emailed Graham Smith about the ticket pricing issue suggesting SOS were doing the fans a disservice by not presenting the fuller picture and his response was on the lines that SOS would present it however they liked. I wish I had the emails still but I’ve moved firms since.

I with you on this, I am willing to forgive too, but maybe it will take time to for me to forget this unfortunate episode.

We could do a lot worse with our owners Maria, more pros than cons.

I know, I know, i get that, but the saying is “once bitten, twice shy”.

If FSG goes, then the next best option is Saudi owners, since Russian/Chinese oligarchs can well get hit with sanctions in geopolitical struggles.

Let’s put here, shall we!

Oh Damn :grimacing:

ICYMI: FSG rejected an offer of around £3 Billion to sell Liverpool Football Club. Other potential bidders - most of them also from the oil rich Middle East are waiting to see if they change their mind about selling. [@MirrorFootball]

I dont see FSG selling unless they are offered well above the value of the club and/or are able to buy a club with similar status given how we fit their wider business model.

The price sounds like bullshit to me. Surely with how much FSG paid to acquire the club they would bite your hand off for three billion. FSG are not even worth three billion.

FSG recently agreed to sell 10% of itself to Redbird Capital for about £500m - so they value the company at around £5bn. There was a forbes article i saw in 2019 valuing the company then at around $6.6bn with LFC about $2bn

I see you have already explained it.

On another note

Maybe they sell LFC for 3b and then buy NUFC for 350m

Although, I have a feeling if they do sell LFC and stay in football, they will go for some continental club this time.

You’re taking this piss right? Worse than human rights abusers, literal slavedrivers?

Get a grip.

I read somewhere that that was a massively stupid fiasco by SoS. The net result after the supposed victory against the £77 tickets for a small minority of seats, was that prices were raised across the board so the average fan ended up paying more.

Oh, I didn’t know that, thanks. Wasn’t there another issue, when FSG wanted to patent the name Liverpool, which didn’t go down well in the community and local businesses? It was quickly discarded.
