The Owners - FSG

All the aggression seems to be coming from you in fact. Why even start a discussion if it’s going to upset you this much?

agree completely. I consider myself very fortunate to have had the privilege to see the team play. that has zero merit on my status as a fan of the club, there are fellas that get up at 4am on Saturday mornings (when dictated by match tims) to open up the OSC in Vancouver to watch the matches together. those are the guys I am amazed with, some of them have never left the country.

I, for one, am shocked at certain posters falsely claiming personal attack because they don’t have the ability to communicate in a normal way.

hahahaha I’ve been confused for that more than once in my travels. there’s a reason we travel with a flag sewn on our packs.

Haha I know. That was unfair of me. I do love you @KY_TNRed. One of my favorites on here.

There has been lots written about our owners by our fans. #FSGout is trending on Twitter at the moment on the back of Utd re-signing Ronaldo. People in this thread have posted things for and against FSG. And in my opinion both sides have made some valid points. Just because people have different opinions about something doesn’t mean that one has to be right and one has to be wrong.

I have to say that reading through the posts I agree.

When I say “I agree”, I mean that I agree with some of the things the ‘Pro FSG’ posters say and some of the things the ‘Anti FSG’ posters say.

I will however (as in my pre match thread posts) trust in Jürgen. He turned down the Utd manager’s position after hearing that it would be like “an adult version of Disneyland”.

Well, he met FSG and decided that their vision of the club was something that he could buy into. He’s never criticised them and having shown his moral compass in many interviews I can’t imagine that he’d be happy working at our club if he thought that the owners were anything but trustworthy.

I’m not sure that the flag thing would work for me? I sew on flag patches of the places I’ve visited on my travels.

Read it and read it again.

It is a truly magnificent post which should really settle all debate…

And some of our supporters are wanting FSG out because Utd bought Ronaldo!!

its a bit one sided though…hes completely overlooked the MBappe fiasco…theyve missed a massive opurtuntiy in not signing MBappe when he is basically gagging to come here and play for 80k a week…gagging i tell you…

Saw on twitter that some lads are planning a #FSGout protest at Anfield when we host the crystal palace…

£36m for Ibrahima Konate and a host of contract renewals…those are not chum changes. As long as it’s not their money, it’s always nice to spend someone else money and complain that the others are not spending enough on their behalf.

There will have been money to spend this financial year, the decision was made to be cautious and not act yet till next year after the losses of the two previous years. The problem is though that that course of action was clearly in contradiction to what Klopp was assured the Redbird investment deal would mean.

When the accounts for 2021/2022 are released in spring 2023 we will either have ran at a profit or brought down outstanding loan amounts faster than they needed to be.

Too many people seem to care about how LFC needs to be run in the green these days. To me the balance sheet doesn’t matter anywhere near as much as what goes on on the pitch. For a start not all loses on the profit and loss sheets are actually cash loses sometimes they are just paper losses die to how football accounting works. But even if LFC sometimes runs at a cash loss so what? We sometimes run at a profit too, fo we have to do it every time?

FSG since buying us have increased in value exponentially. We’ve been the biggest asset responsible for that growth in value. Since buying us a lot has been invested into FSG, far more than FSG have actually paid to own LFC. Its cost them less than £500/600m to own us and some of that has been paid back to them in interest free operating loans. Even the Redbird investment was over £530m alone for 10% of FSG. Doubt that happens without us being involved as Redbirds primary motivation is getting involved in European Football. So straight off the bat, due to owning us FSG have got their money back from buying and running us by “sacrificing” a 10% minor stake in their company.

I can’t believe this man, of all people, was given false hope about this summer.

You mean that man, of all people, who has consistently said all summer he’s happy with the squad.

He didn’t sound like he felt he’d been given false hope, he very much has railed against the idea that we needed to do a lot of business at every opportunity.

Now you’re projecting your feelings onto him and invoking Shankly when there’s nothing to suggest he actually believes he’s been let down. If Klopp wants to say that then let’s wait to hear it from him instead of assuming his feelings match your own.

In his prematch press conference before Chelsea he said

  • Klopp said he doesn’t expect to be busy in the final four days of the transfer window but that “you never know”;
  • He added: “There are so many different ways to win a football game, it’s not all about bringing in new players"

So how does that translate to him being given false hope this summer when he as on numerous occasions said he didn’t think we would be bringing a large number of new signings in?
