The Owners - FSG

This is not good, after all the years you are finally in charge and after a year you quit … way to much unrest in the club and you can wait for the moment it shows on the pitch …

Feels like he’s being pushed personally (based on nothing but my own gut feel). Strange times, we’ve gone from such a stable position to seemingly all at sea off the field.

Ok, bye then.

What is going on seriously? Edwards, Ward… Potentially Graham? Are we ripping up the data lead scouting model which worked so well?

All at sea? There comes a time at every club where they go through a transition…we’ve had the same figureheads for 10 years.

Bit premature to say anything at this point really.

Owners with the club up for sale, losing 2 Sporting Directors in 1 year, Gordon stepping down, having no club doctor and an ever revolving door in the medical team and rumours Graham the brain behind our data analytics next out the door?

All sounds like a completly disjointed set up and nothing like the one we had which delivered us our recent success. That 10 years of stability is the best in my lifetime, changes in 1 area normally ok, but such widespread uncertainty is not ok.

So yes, all at sea is an understatement.

Ward looks different, but in general successful people get bored doing the same thing over and over again. If you cant find a way to promote them to expand their role or find a new challenge to solve they will invariably leave. Edwards leaving when he did was not surprising, nor now is it for any of his team as its been a long time. Ward is the anomaly though.

Could be they already got an inkling who the new owners are and thinking… I’m outta here

That might be part of it - or the new owners want their own back room staff.

“Jürgen Klopp has taken a more hands-on approach over the last 12 months to recruitment.”

Not sure how I feel about that, again seems to be going against all we built here…

Unless new owners with oodles of cash are coming in and we will just buy the best players.

Disney is buying us and installing Nate Silver as the head data guy

Well why not wait until the club at least makes a formal announcement with all the details before coming to premature conclusions that the club is now a mess? Yes it’s fair to say we’re going through uncertainty but for every action there is a reaction and people seem to quickly forget this.

Plus it’s hardly surprising given the owners statement few weeks ago which is what led to all this uncertainty to begin with.

Oh my gee whizz…DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE!!!

Oh dear Julian is stressed over football…he must have been reading our forum too much about how sucky our transfers have been since he took over.

Those moaning about him now want to moan about what’s happening and how the roof is caving in.

See if Edwards is opening to returning.

There seems to be internal turmoil that don’t get leaked to us, leading to several people wanting to stop working for Liverpool. Something is going on and it is really bad. It may or may not have affected play this season too. But it’s pretty likely FSG being desperate to sell is linked, somehow, to this. But dicipline is good, none of this turmoil and bad blood has or is being leaked to us. We only get leaked the consequences.

I do think everything is linked to the sale of the club mind.

If it was that toxic you’d want out immediately.

This would surprise me given the reputation we have had for being well run, and the experience we have accumulated. Is a new owner likely to come in with a ready made team of football specialists?

Wtf is going on? It feels like the club is imploding from within for no discernible reason. Doubt that it’s sale related as every report says that FSG are still considering all options.

Whatever the reason, this can’t be for good.
