The Owners - FSG

You make really good points here, and I’m in the camp of appreciating all that FSG have done, most importantly employing Klopp in the first place.

But…just can’t get my head around there being no options beyond Tchouameni and Jude. Of the hundreds of CMs across the world, there has to be other elite options. The likes of Mudryk and Enzo become 100m players within a few months? There’s bound to be loads more options out there. Maybe not Bellingham level, but a damn sight better than what we have currently!

Options for what though? My point is premised on the interpretation that Klopp was happy with his midfield already. In that reading, Tchouameni because was not a need, but an opportunistic attempt at getting one of the best prospects in the world once we understood he would become available.

If I am happy in my house, but see my dream house come up for sale I might put in a bid. If someone else has their bid accepted doesn’t mean I then have to follow through and try and buy a different house if Im already more than happy with mine.

Good example but you might if your house is getting to the point of a major remodelling.

#1 - a contract is binding agreement. there’s no way to “wriggle out” of a contract, if there’s no buyer for the player then you’ve contractually obligated to pay them.

2 - that whole aging thing hey? fucking hell, we having found a solution for getting old yet?
our midfield isn’t old, it’s tired. 30 isn’t old.

3 & 4 & 5- who expected both Diaz and Jota to get hurt? you’d rather put Gakpo out wide left, at least Nunez has experience out there with his national team and he plays that left channel well! as for Elliot, he’s a better winger than a midfielder IMO.

6 - if you play too wide (especially against a guy against Mudryk) then you open up the diagonal ball splitting the CB. letting the player receive a crossfield ball keeps the threat outside on the wing and allows your CB and midfield three to shift across and plug holes. If you 're seriously thinking you want Trent to hug the sidelines, well that’s even more of a disaster.

Your points 1 to 6 are nonsense quite frankly. Just flippant responses and an insult to my intelligence.

Clubs in chaos I tells ya

You do realise indy is a spoof account right?

No, really :astonished:

Yes, but not immediately if i had a plan to move in two years time.

How are they flippant?

And they are certainly only an insult to your intelligence if you choose to see it that way…

3-6 can simply be summed up by tactical choices that Jürgen and his team have chosen to make. He has explained them in the press conferences, but you don’t seem to be paying attention to those.

@Semmy’s reply to 1 is simply factual. It’s not like you can just sell someone just because you want to or terminate their contracts unilaterally. You’re also ignoring all evidence as to the coaching team valuing those players more highly than you.

There’s also nothing wrong to the reply to 2. The problem hasn’t been aging. When played in midfield this season Milner has been one of our better players. Thiago is still rated by many as one of those in better form. In contrast, the poor form almost correlates to how much they played for us last season.

A grim read, Reddy is one of the best reporters for me, this paints a chaotic mess behind the scenes.

I like her too, but it’s not really saying anything that we don’t already know is it?

Really? I got pelters on here months ago for daring to say Ljinders was getting too much power. She has just basically confirmed that.

"It has been said that Julian Ward and Ian Graham, who have opted to leave Liverpool, “no longer feel empowered to do their jobs to the best of their ability.”

Is multiple red flags at once in itself.

Where does she say that?

Haha, can’t read between the lines can you Joe.

Here you go

Do you want it in bold?

Yes you might have to put it in bold, and delete Klopp from the sentence as it’s not singling out Pep. You’re experiencing motivated perception

No, you’re just being blind and obtuse, like the norm.

I won’t use another big word to describe you, you’ll flag me to the mods again.

I’ve never flagged you to the mods. Never cared enough about anything you’ve said

The Reddy article is a good summary piece.

My own take is the ownership has to be sorted out. The old axiom that a fish rots from the head down is bang on. I’m not saying that FSG are rotten, but I am in agreement with Melissa Reddy about the brain drain from the club. FSG have presided over that. Then in addition there are the issues with investment in the squad, the high amount of injuries, and the whispers about who has power and clout at the club.

It does not look like the smooth operation we have enjoyed in recent years.

Sort out ownership, and then we have a basis in which to sort out everything else at the club. While the ownership is up in the air, so too is the whole club.

Not only that, it’s an opinion piece with claims that aren’t really substantiated.

This does a lot of heavy lifting, but apart from suggestions by journalists, is that evidenced anywhere?

By whom? Is this an actual opinion from within the club or was this more speculation by other “journalists”?

This is trotted out as evidence of the turnover, but Jacobsen left 2+ seasons ago. Moxon’s departure was speculated by the Athletic to be because of the “growing friction”, but as Pearce doesn’t seem to actually have any sources within the club, it could well be that he was let go because of his failure to keep our players fit. No one actually knows.

Again a lot of speculation and innuendo, mostly stemming from that article in the Athletic.

So not just is there nothing new, it’s also mainly opinion and speculation. From a club that keeps so many secrets so well hidden, is it likely that suddenly there’d be so much gossip about the turnover?
