Actually a simple bit of research with an Internet search engine of his choice should have given some indication that he was making a massive mistake. But he was personally benefitting more than out of alternative deals.

Maybe, Iām certainly not absolving him of any blame, merely pointing out he was obliged by law to consider all shareholders and not just himself.
So now theyāll all sit down with UEFA and some real change will be attempted, which was what I thought the real point was all along. It seemed to go far further and be far more serious than I expected. I still think it wasnāt ideal but if it was going to go ahead if we werenāt in it then weād practically be committing sporting suicide. But best results are real reforms to UEFA and the CL. Letās hope there are some because their proposed changes are actually nearly as bad. Been a rough few days and it could have all been handled much better than it was.
I think need to apologize for this while thing, thatās the bare minimum. Apologize and move we all move on from this. If they donāt, then FSG needs to be moved out of LFC, regardless of what theyāve accomplished before all of this.
I have been pro FSG throughout their ownership, the shit short statement with no thought or conviction has me now wishing that they sell up, yes we may get worse but that is my emotional thoughts at this moment. No apologies to fans etc, fans not even mentioned, only stakeholders.

Thankfully thatās that sorted then. But our name has been deserving tarnished this week. No ones fault but FSG. Iād like them to sell up. Was wary of them for lack of investment this season with the squad but this was the final nail in the coffin for me. Embarrassing FSG OUT
But thatās exactly what he did. Chose the deal that was best for him personally without exercising a duty of care to look into the bidders in any great detail. I do think there was too much pressure being put on him from certain sources to find a buyer as quickly as possible. Less pressure he may have had time to find a better option. Thatās as much defence as I can give him and even that makes him look kind of spineless and highlights how consciously incompetent he was, he knew he had no chance of fixing the issues at LFC himself.

Iām not sure that is what the issue was. They had a deal agreed with DIC which was supposed to be completed by the end of December 2006, before H&G made their offer in January 2007.

People getting their knickers in a twist because the statement didnāt say sorry or apologise. Guaranteed if it had, the same people would be having a go calling it a fake apology.
Would an apology make any difference? Would it make the situation these clubs caused over the past couple of days any more palatable? Of course not.
This whole thing has been a giant shit show but Iād still rather we were on the inside than on the outside looking in. Like Everton. Bunch of losers.

Iām glad this isnāt going ahead, but we as a club will suffer for a while yet. The Premier League are likely to impose sanctions on all six clubs, what that could be, I donāt know. Points deductions maybe? Fans of other clubs will not let us forget this episode ever, but they hated us before this, whatās a little bit more ?

Look at what the fans of arsenal think about the owner and the guidance of the club and the transfers, and the contract situations with overpaid players who donāt work (allegedly) fit the club.
Iād rather our lot and what they have helped achieved since they arrived.

I donāt think the PL will impose sanctions, it may beef up its rules and regulations a bit mind.
The fact is there was never any expression about leaving the domestic leagues, though it may have come about as a result, I think the clubs will be warned and thats about it.
If it had been a total breakaway then I would have expected far harsher penalties.
