And not so tiny Australia also has its (federal) ‘election’ on Saturday. We are so democratic citizens are forced to vote… Democracy sausages all around!

Good that you guys feel good. Other than Liverpool winning the league, not sure you guys have plenty to celebrate that side of the world.

Much rather that that some of the voluntary systems, while you can stuff the card up after you are checked off,not a lot do.
You go there why not have your say.

So is this good or bad? Bear in mind, my idea of good when it comes to politics is if it gives Trump the shits.

Talking about yourself? But Thanks! Remember, I am rooting for you!

He won’t like it. His boy lost.

Sorry, did I touch a nerve there?

Do you even understanding what I’m referring to with the crab bucket mentality?

His speech a few hours earlier in no way reflected how pathetic a performance that is. Voters clearly rejected him, he personally cost the Conservatives a chance to form government

English? I thought we were speakin’ strine? You one polyglot m’fucker!

This is a liberal majority, just the worst possible one. Lib and NDP = less than 1% gdp per year over 10 years. Now we get to see if Carney changes his mind on taxes, etc. will be watching Alberta with a lot of interest.

I am not as fussed as some about it being a minority, but I don’t like the fact that Carney is not as secure as he could have been. His PMO has to be very different from Trudeau’s, meaning a gentle purge of many Hill Liberals from the real centers of power in the government. That is a little harder to do with another election likely by Fall 2026.

Never understood this, how on earth can any political party make enough inroads within just over a year. Such a stupid system.

Edit: Just checked, 4 elections in 7 years, asinine (the record)

Is Carney getting support from Independents or does he have to rely on Jagmeet’s party ?

He only needs NDP, who are the closest to the Liberals, so essentially a majority. There are not really any independents, even if one does get elected, they normally already aligned with an official party. All he needs to do it throw the NDP a bone, and he has them.
