Could be similar to the Hackman situation earlier in the year.
Seems they were found with stab wounds.
Investigators have questioned a family member, and officials have classified the case as apparent homicide. Could be a robbery turned bad.

He was also Jewish and, seemingly, he had been working on a mini-series about Trump and Putin, so it is also possible it was racially or politically motivated. Seemingly the latest line of enquiry is a domestic incident.
It’s probably best to see what the police investigation turns up.
One of his sons is a stereotype of the hollywood kid fuckup - addiction, multiple stints in rehab and jail, bouts of homelessness. That is who the police have reported to be questioning.

It’s OT but this sort of statement is tactically a win for them. It distracts, it takes the conversation to a place they can (wrongly) seen as victims and at the same time adding more nails into the coffins of dignity, decorum and any chance of getting to the truth…
Damn. Stand by Me and When Harry Met Sally are two of my favourite films. Misery and The Princess bride are outstanding as well. Time to watch the rest of his filmography.
