Not somebody well known but this young red was killed yesterday. We had a violent storm here in the NW of England that came in very quickly, it’s been reported that he was killed whilst playing football. Heartbreaking story.
RIP Jordan.

Went to buy vegetables for his blind mother. Hit by shrapnel
RIP Hamza. Ameen.
Good lord, some heart wrenching news.
I feel so sad. There is no hope of humanity in this world. It is a killing field in the Israel and Palestine.
I just wonder, what is the point staying on this earth, people are so horrible to each other.
Where’s this come from Maria?
People are horrible to each other, but they are also capable of acts of incredible kindness, creativity, genius and the like. There are still far more decent people in this world than arseholes.
I’m driving up to Yorkshire tomorrow to be with my family. My Grandma is in a bad way, and might not have very long. I don’t think I’ll even be able to see her one last time.
People being horrible on Social Media aren’t important. It’s an act anyway. We’ve all got people that we love and who love us. That’s what’s important.
@Maria, as @Mascot wrote that acts of kindness and compassion everywhere.
I also posted an article in the Corona thread on the responses of people to a call for help from a truck driver. Have a read and hopefully it will shine a light of hope: The Corona Pandemic - #6046 by CanuckoLFC
Try not to despair too much Maria. The world has always been a sinister place, with present day social network and newsreels bringing events closer to home for all of us.
Try and stay away from the reporting for a few days and continue to practice and spread your own goodness you so obviously possess.
When Maria said this I immediately thought of the appalling Jewish bombings of Palestinian children in Gaza. They need to realise an eye for an eye (or in this case a head for an eye) will only leave everyone blind (or worse).
Seriously?
Sorry I should say Israeli as they are state sanctioned.
Midnight Run is one of my favourite films…
Berserk had an impact that can be seen across multiple different types of fiction.

Thank you so much for your kind words guys . There are alot of kind hearted people on here.
There have been so many deaths these last 15 months which is so sad, some families could not even say goodbye properly and were not allowed to see their loved ones in their dying hours. This is so tragic. It is difficult to cope with.
Mum lost her youngest, seemingly healthy brother last week, the week before my aunt went and Mum’s friend suddenly passed. Mum hasn’t been coping well and top of that the news of conflict in the Middle East, it all got abit too much to cope with.
This pandemic is taking its time in going away. We now have the Indian variant in our borough, it is very worrying. One of our students tested positive and the whole class was sent home and one of my colleagues is in isolation for 8 days. I was feeling unwell on the weekend, I thought I had symptoms, but luckily I tested negative. I seem to have anxiety all the time. I am hearing from a friend who handles the data of the coronavirus positive rates ( Public Health England), she seems quite worried about these variants coming up. I fear another lockdown coming in the Autumn.
Stick in there Maria! I hope you can find small daily distractions, acts of kindness or moments of mirth to ward off despair.
As Klopp says football really is not important, but hopefully this little community of fans of ‘the most important of the unimportant’ reds is a little help.
Oh and moments like Allison’s header which reminds me (at least) that if you stick at it even when things are looking lost there will be moments when you realise something can be salvaged and yes it was all worthwhile.
Thoughts to everyone going through tough times. I hope YNWA.
You are a wonderful soul @Maria . Be blessed, always.
Tributes paid to Josep Almudéver, who was forced to watch his comrades shot in Franco’s camps
RIP Josep Almudéver, what a hero and survivor of General Franco’s repressive regime.
