I loved him in Heat of the Night and Shoot to Kill. Never realised he was in his 90’s though - that’s a fair knock - a damn good life and he has had a good influence on a lot of people with the roles he always played masterfully.

Bob Saget is dead at 65. I do not watch any of his other works but I was a big fan of America’s Funniest Home Videos back then and he was an iconic voice of that show. RIP.

The circumstances reflect horribly on the mental health system in Ireland. Everyone here is aware how under funded and neglected this area of health is but this takes it to a whole new level of shite.

I agree, and it was disturbing to read dome of the comments aimed at Sinead during the week. Finger pointing at her by people who know nothing of their situation.
There is a long road ahead with mental health problens in Ireland, post pandemic healing included.
But there is no will by government to fund or to engage in processes. This lads death is a microcism of a greater malaise. He could be still with us, had supports been in place.

Absolutely. Sinead has had her own very public battles with mental health issues and while I haven’t read of what you’re saying I think I can safely assume some are putting the blame of this tragedy on her shoulders.
This government are no different to past ones, no will to improve public mental health treatments. The wider question is why? Is it because there’s not enough desire among the people to really push it otherwise things would have improved? Look at the back tracking on water charges as an example of people fighting for change.

Stigma exists on a grand scale, and there are no advocates in politics strong enough.
Bressie and a few more celebs do their best, but we need proper advocacy in the Dail.
And the blame from certain sectors is being weighed on a grieving mother who has suffered with her own demons.
RIP romantic Ireland.
