I did watch some. His wife said he would take any drug offered but if you gave him any medication he would have to go and look it up in his medical glossary in case there were any side effects
Fuck that was emotional.
(My mate from North Wales was there in the church. He filmed the coffin coming out. Johnny Depp was lead pall bearer. Gerry Adams was also there.)
Start to finish,it was a very emotional service, all 3 hours.
One thing I’ve learned in my 45 years on the planet. Nick Cave never, ever, let’s you down.
Weirdly his wife said at the funeral that he was a big fan of the royals and cried when Prince Philip and the Queen died. Could have been the drugs mind you.
My mate sent me a picture of a memorial in his home village , but I’m too fucking inept to be able to reproduce it here.
Anyway , it’s the lyrics of The Broad Majestic Shannon (into which his ashes were scattered) followed by ;
‘By Shane Macgowan
Son of this parish and one of the world’s greatest songwriters.’
Andre Braugher has left us.
I’m heartbroken for him. Homicide was and, alongside Twin Peaks, still is my all-time favourite TV show and, of course, his Frank Pembleton was my favourite character. Amazing and ever underrated actor.
I only just saw he had passed away and was going to post here that @Nikola and i would be deeply saddened by this having both been big fans of Homicide: life on the streets.
I wish i had seen him in more stuff.
Always enjoyed him in everything I’ve seen him, but was genuinely suprised what a great comedic actor he was in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Very sad news.
devasted. Mrs and I had just started watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine a few months back. great show
I remember him in Glory. He was the guy Denzel W was always picking on. RIP.

RIP
I noticed on my new feed that Wild Lunn, the mad inventor from Vision On, has died:
Anyone who pissed off the Murdoch press and Thatcher was a good ‘un in my book.
Condolences to his friends and family.
