I’m not a fan of tattoos in general but I am a fan of Iličić and this makes me like him a bit more.

The sad time when we were linked with Bacinovic and Ilicic under Hodgson.

I’m looking for newspaper, sports magazines, etc. for a more varied diet of football.

Presently I follow BBC, Guardian, DW, Bundesliga official website and the occasional Sky and Goal. But things have gotten rather stale lately.

Open to your recommendations.

So is that article insinuating that Barnsley already knew the player had cancer?

Did the player know? - If that is the case, should he have not revealed it during the medical?

Sorry for asking as that link only provides a very brief summery and you need to be a member to get the full details

Effectively. It held that all of the player’s medical records, taken together rather than in isolation, would have indicated that the player was likely not to be fit to play professional football. It held that Barnsley should have disclosed this information in full.

“Let’s just put to one side the stories of England and Ferguson. The truth is that Ferguson didn’t coach that team, he just went to watch training sessions a couple of times a week and left everything else in the hands of his staff.

“Then he would arrive, talk, decide and they’d follow him. He was completely isolated from the everyday work of the training ground, though.

“The same goes for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. In Italy, the way you coach a team is completely different and after five years, a coach has very little left to say.”

I remember Man United being lauded for having some of the best coaches in the game and Wenger for having arguably the best scouting network at the time but for Capello to make such claims is outrageous, especially with their respective records. I wonder if these two will let this one slide.

According to the BBC Moyes and Rodgers are better managers than Klopp even though they couldn’t reach a CL spot?
Bielsa for manager of the season ahead of Gladiola?

What do you find so out of bounds there? The point he is making is that over time something needs to change with the day to day message to ensure the message continues to carry resonance. Fergie and Wenger both achieved their longevity in part because it wasn’t them doing the day to day work with the players.

I’d also take it with a pinch of salt what Capello of all people says/heard (or who told him, that can often be exaggerated) about Fergie’s coaching which lasted almost 3 decades. Yeah, we know from multiple direct sources who were there that he wasn’t always hands on. Also changed his staff a few times. He just worked differently and found a way.

Why take it with a pinch of salt when what Capello is saying is very well documented? It didnt even read it as a criticism or a slight.

So, how much the betting firms actually pay? Anyone have any proper links/source?

Ronaldo, 36, was the top scorer in Italy this year. He has won the golden boot in three major footballing countries. Quite an achievement and especially at his age. Is he the greatest goal scoring footballer of his era?
