I fly into Zagreb tomorrow and then head Zadar and end with 5 days in Split.
Croatia v Slovenia in Split was a very good atmosphere the other day… that was a nice chance missed!
Maybe if you catch a league game, though that can be pretty dull and (half) empty.
If I’m right looking at the league schedule over the next days/week, the only league game you could catch is tomorrow, Lokomotiva v Osijek, which is in Zagreb.
If you need any more tips, let me know!

Sorry for the late reply (hopefully all went well!), yeah, it’s almost always very easy to get tickets for league games. Usually cost about 40-50 kunas, which is about £5-6.
