The Random Football Debate Thread

If someone has a cogent, religious or medical reason not to take the vaccination then fine.

They must understand that this hampers movement in society.

No excuses for anyone else. I work in health care and am shocked by how many people refuse the vaccine. Whilst lorrying processed shite foods into their mouths.

And/or whilst consuming copious amounts of alcohol, cigarettes and/or drugs. But don’t jab me with that shit because I don’t know what’s in it.

That’s interesting, but will play havoc with an already insane Conmebol schedule. In lots of ways it’s good that more of their games will played in Europe seeing as most of the players from most of the teams are playing here, but it would have to come at the expense of world cup qualifiers or Copa qualifiers. I dont see either of that happening.

Spot on our Jordan as usual.

Some utterly bizarre rankings here:

So Chelsea’s midfield contains two of the top ten players in the world? Yeah, right.

See why some teams get rated more off the pitch than on it.

I think the CL win has skewered this a bit.

Not entirely sure how they can enforce this, but as we all know - China does whatever it wants

Answered your own question - China does whatever it wants. Considering the goings on around ethnic minorities or Hong Kong over there, banning tatt’s is small fry.

"It has been 12 years since Ivan Juric told an interviewer from Rolling Stone magazine that footballers “don’t know shit about music.” - Obviously, this is completely true.

Juric harboured one regret. “The only other metal-head I have played with in a 15-year career was an Argentinian goalkeeper at Crotone,” he said. “I started at 14 years old with Metallica and Megadeth, then I moved on to more aggressive things. Death metal is my passion, bands like Napalm Death, Obituary and Carcass.” - Oh, my word!

@Zoran, I’ve known Jurić as a manager for quite a while (he’s basically resurrected Lukić’s career, the lad is unrecognisable in the best possible sense) but I’m holding you personally responsible for not disclosing this treasure to me!

I found that particular interview, he even name-checks and praises late Chuck Schuldiner. That’s it, I know who I want as the next Liverpool manager.

Just read this. Mad.

Article is from Nov-2021 but mentioned in EotK in today’s post. Not sure if it has been posted before.

At the end of the article:

I just sometimes wonder if we should spend a little more time admiring how good these people are at kicking footballs – because that is where it all starts and ends.
