In case someone wonders what’s next for ten Hag, he’s been appointed as Twente’s new technical director, where he will begin in February.
Soccer subreddit already talked about EtH going to sign a lot of players from SEG agency. I guess that are a history of him signing players from SEG?

Seeing Tottenham lose to Villa at home and United to Brighton is not even a surprise anymore, but almost expected.

If say tomorrow people uprise in Saudi Arabia and it becomes a mess and Newcastle get caught up in it they will all be moaning.

Listening to an interview with Ludovic Giuly.
He says that his biggest regret is that he never played in England, mostly because of the atmosphere.
Says that he had the option of going to Chelsea when he was leaving Monaco for Barcelona.
And then another chance was Liverpool, when Rafa called at some point in the summer of 2006 (just as Barca won the league, CL and Spanish Supercopa near the end of the transfer window).
He says if he knew Messi was gonna become what he became and take his position on that right side of attack, he would’ve left.
Though I think by the summer of 2006, playing and training, he maybe should’ve had a good idea what’s coming…
He turned 31 that summer.

Yes, I think that was the summer when Rafa had that choice of either going big for Alves, or ultimately deciding to go for Pennant and Kuyt (it took a while for him to become our first choice RW, that was more in the second part of 07/08), two players for the amount.
So maybe Giuly was one of our RW alternatives. I remember us being linked with many wingers at the time, since it was a position we were struggling with, especially to create difference in games where we have to break teams down. Stelios Giannakopoulos was also one.

No No No, it doesn’t change anything it will still be the same margins, what it will change are teams becoming even more defensive minded and sitting deeper.
