The Referees or The Twelfth Man (Part 2)

Continuing the discussion from The Referees or The Twelfth Man (Part 1) - #4036 by klopptinho.

Previous discussions:

Any contentious decisions in Liverpools favour are when we are comfortably ahead in matches.

That way, statistically we get our ā€œbit of luckā€ whereas in reality it never really benefits us.

That is fact.

If I’m not mistaken the bald fraud ā€˜twice’ moment came when he thought they should have had a pen for a hand-ball by TAA.
The replays clearly show the ball hitting Silva’s arm and deflecting on to TAA’s. Therefore no penalty.

I think it was something to do with milner?

We won that game 3-1, their’s was a late consolation goal.

The TWICE! moment? or the TAA appeal? same match as the milner ā€˜fouls’?

Wasn’t it Trent who had both handball appeals against him?

The ā€˜twice’ moment and the hand-ball by TAA, which couldn’t have been a penalty as Silva handled it first.
I don’t know what you are referring to with Milner.

The fact we are picking the bones out of a match from 7 years ago says it all really.

i have a memory about complaints milner should have been sent off or something. I wondered if that was from the TAA game you are talking about.

I am not sure what you mean about pickin the bones, i am just conversing with you about the thing you posted. If you think this is some sort of discussion about corruption then you are mistaken, i am just trying to understand which game my memory is from

There was the time we won the league when Sterling scored from an offside position. Oh no. Tsk. The opposite happened.

Oh hang on. Remember when Kompany was sent off notwithstanding as the last man he cleanly won the ball on the halfway line and we again won another title.

Nope. I’ve got that the wrong way round as well, haven’t I?

I’ve got one. When Eto’o got sent off for that horrific challenge on Henderson and we beat Chelsea then won the league…wait, no, I’ve fucked that up again haven’t I?

The same year Kompany chopped down Salah we drew 1-1 with Leicester at Anfield.
Harry Maguire should have been sent off in the 1st half for a professional foul. He went on to score the equalizer. The referee turned down a clear penalty for a foul on Keita in the last few minutes.
The referee was Martin Atkinson from West Yorkshire.

The referee for that game against Chelsea was Howard Webb. From South Yorkshire.
The referee for the Sterling game was Lee Mason from Greater Manchester.
The referee for the Kompany game was Anthony Taylor from Wythenshawe, South Manchester.

And let’s not forget the Rodri handball at Goodison when we lost the league by a single point.
Paul Tierney, the referee from Wigan, Greater Manchester, didn’t give it and neither did the VAR, Chris Kavanagh from Ashton-under- Lyne, Greater Manchester.
2 months earlier Tierney and Kavanagh were ref and VAR at Spurs when we drew 2-2. They failed to give a penalty for a blatant push on Jota, failed to send off Harry Kane for a potential leg-breaker on Robertson and then conspired to send Robbo off for a much less dangerous tackle.

It’s interesting to note that as the cartel of referees from Greater Manchester are retiring they are being replaced with a cartel of referees from Yorkshire, all under the watchful eye of ex-South Yorkshire policeman Howard Webb.

In short your gullibility and naivety levels would have to be off the fucking scale to believe this shower aren’t as corrupt as fuck.

Was it Coote who was the cunt on VAR that failed to send off Pickford for his assault on Van Dijk, a game we drew?

And who were the cunts that failed to overrule Diaz being wrongly given offside against Spurs, another game with a litany of other bullshit decisions, including Jones seeing red for a foul that barely merited a yellow?

It was Coote on VAR, Oliver was ref.

Hooper was the ref at Spurs, Darren England VAR. That game was the nearest thing you’ll ever see to match-fixing imo.

Cant remember if it was on here or TIA, the conspiracy thread was shut down.
Dozens of examples as above were dismissed, with a ā€œit evens itself out over a seasonā€ explanation.

Erm, ok

I see Dermot Gallagher trying to justify the non penalty award on ref watch, painful and as usual both ex footy players say it was the most blatant penalty not even any doubt from them.

Dale Johnson is tying himself in knots on twitter as well defending his piece on the BBC

ā€œThe foul is not for holding, its for ā€œimpactā€ and if Isak doesnt think he was impacted then how can the ref be expected to give it?ā€

Ignoring that as terrible an argument as that is, and as weird as it was for Isak to have not appealed to the ref, he did in fact immediately turn to Timber and called him a cheat.

Yeah, his piece on the BBC said Isak didn’t react at all, which is total bollocks.

There is another bit where is sympathizing with poor VARs having the goal posts moved over the use of slow mo, seemingly implying that this was only detectible with the use of Slow mo that critics of VAR have a history of complaining about. But again that is utter bollocks. I called it out in real time and my eyes are now bad enough that face ID only works to unlock my phone about half time because of how much Im screwing my face to read what the phone is saying.

Any attempt to rationalize this miss is just ā€œin the clubā€ cunts starting form the position that the rule is justifiable and however the ref applied it was right, then working from there and telling everyone else they are too uninformed and biased to view it clearly.
