By showing a racist side in his remarksā¦ How can he ever be trusted to referee a game again, that will be littered with players of differing nationalitiesā¦ He needs fucking off right out of the gameā¦ Can you imagine what else he continued to spout when the camera was turned offā¦ Or maybe it wasnāt, and episode 2 will surface at some point

With the anti racism campaign of FA, UEFA and FIFA Coote should be done as a referee.

I really hope PGMOL donāt try to alter our thinking on whether calling someone a German Cunt is racism. It 100% is. The āHate the Scousersā part was said by his (former) mate, but I find the āLiverpool are shitā as the second worst part of that video. There might be enough grey to say that his words here arenāt linked to biases in the past and yet to come. But we all know. Heās basically saying without saying that he hates the club. Thatās the nail in the coffin regardless of whether PGMOL try to wiggle out of the racism in the video.

Surely, the number one core skill of a referee is judgement. That is the attribute that, above all others, is needed in the job.
David Coote decide to go to a twatās house in the early hours, get munted, and act the big bollocks about how he referees Liverpool. On fucking camera.
That is not the judgement that an elite ref should display.

If he didnāt deserve the sack for what he said on the video he absolutely deserves it for saying it was fake, then admitting it was real but he couldnāt remember what heād said.
This is a real litmus test for PGMOL. No amount of rolling their mates out into TV studios to blindly agree with what theyāve said or done will make this go away.
If heās not fired then the PGMOL has zero integrity left. Trust in officiating would be pretty much rock bottom. And it would leave the door wide open to all the āagenda against usā conspiracy nonsense segments every fan base has. Ultimately it would make the game worse on a huge scale.
Whole system needs reform and if this isnāt the catalyst you have to wonder what it would actually take for change to be made.

I mean itās been obvious to us for years. Look at the calls Kane got and looks at the challenges on Salah and ManĆ© that went totally unpunished over the years.

Bigger concern for me is they think making an example of him, treating him as the anomaly, will give them cover to pretend that this sort of sentiment isnāt running right through the top level refs.
And I dont necessarily mean specifically anti liverpool (although I am positive several others would have said the same sort of thing about us in private), but more that they are egotists driven by getting even by people who have ever not treated them with the adoration they think they deserve. I mean recall what allegedly brought this animosity onā¦a game that was meaningless for both sides (Burnley finished 10th that season and were long already safe) in which he allowed them to kick us all over the park from start to finish. Robbo and Klopp called him shit, to his face, and he held a grudge about it for years afterwards. How petty and weak can you be?

After the Everton game where VVD was assaulted and Hendoās goal was disallowed Coote was never anywhere near our games for a long, long time.
I was of the opinion the PGMOL/PL knew he was corrupt and despised LFC so kept him away. Who knows, even our spineless club might have spoken up behind the scenes and demanded they did something about him? Stranger things have happened.
A couple of years down the line he got to referee a couple of low-profile games involving Liverpool, at least 1 in the FA Cup and the Preston game you refer to. It would be perfectly normal for him to be on his best behaviour during those games so as not to arouse further suspicion.
I remember posting about 18 months ago the next step would be to give him one of our PL games against one of the lesser sides to help ease him back in completely and sure enough towards the end of last season he got our game v Brighton at Anfield.
His return to the fold should have been complete at the weekend in a big Saturday night televised game but he just couldnāt fucking help himself could he? The āno-foulā on Salah was as bad a decision as any of the numerous shaftings he and his cronies have handed out to us over the past decade. Once a dirty fucking cheat, always a dirty fucking cheat.
Really funny to see on Sky tonight they were showing a re-run of Ref Watch and Dermott Gallagher expressing astonishment that the referee didnāt call a foul against Salah. All with a big picture of Coote in the background.
That should be him done. There can be no way back for him, certainly not as a PL referee. He cannot be allowed to ārefereeā another LFC game or one that has any impact on us.
This is as close to the āsmoking gunā many of us have been waiting for. Being called a tinfoil hat wearer, a fucking conspiracy theorist etc by fellow Liverpool supporters as I watch my club being shafted out of at least 3 titles has been absolutely soul-destroying. As Quicksand pointed out earlier on this is the tip of the iceberg, anyone thinking otherwise at this point is fucking delusional.

Iām guessing that Coote is fairly familiar with the prejudices of other refs. If he is sacked, his tell all with the tabloids could get interesting.

I wonder how Fabian Hurzeler will feel next time Coote is either ref or VAR for a Brighton game, considering we now know what Coote thinks of Germans?
Mustr be sacked as he is unusable for any Liverpool game, canāt be used in any game that could effect our season so that rules out the big 6 + Everton, and now would be questionable if he can be used in a match involving a German manager or player.

Was about to post something naive of being hopeful that Webb might be stepping down at the end of the season but then I saw that the last one in his position stayed for 13 years so thereās now way Howie will leave after three years.
Iād be interested to know why that fucking inbred-looking twat in the video refers to Coote as a āfucking legendā.
