I wonder if any investigative journalist could be arsed deep diving into the betting activity of his matesā¦ If they are openly having conversations like this when they are blitzedā¦ it is just one small easy peasy step to next stage of outright corruption
This is 100% a kick on after a club or something. Theyāre high as fuck and Iād bet my mortgage he didnāt know the other bloke or cameraman before the night that video was taken.
Mate, I donāt think youāll find many on here that disagree or have disagreed with you that referees have biases.
But if thereās a top to bottom (across FA, PGMOL, PL etc) conspiracy theory, those things usually involve too many moving parts, and too many people, for silence on it to persist. How does succession happen? Introduction of new refs into the conspiracy? I find that train of thought fanciful.
No. I donāt think the PL or FA have an agenda against us.
But what you say about it club working silently behind the scenes with PGMOL to have outcomes at donāt know about, Iām sure this has happened over recent years.
I also find what that arsenal lad was saying about knowing someone who has connections with PGMOL that know the PGMOL hierarchy is upset with Arteta. Does that mean they will have an unspoken (or spoken) bias against them?
Funny how that video seems unavailable. I can find the discussion of the two Villa shouts, but not that one?
I still donāt think that weāre talking about a conspiracy to defraud Liverpool of success, as in an organised network of operators with stated aims and objectives.
But I do think that anti-Liverpool sentiment is rife in this country, which is represented within PGMOL. Similar to how there is an anti-Muslim/anti-Foreigner sentiment, which leads to Mo Salah have to do his amazing stuff with two lads dangling off his neck.
I think there is an over-representation of residents of Greater Manchester within PGMOL ranks, where there is a greater than usual anti-Liverpool sentiment.
I think that there is an absolute fucking madness in putting a man in change of refereeing who will have had his view of football, and LFC, shaped by his time working for the organisation who were at the centre of the biggest miscarriage of justice in football history, and by the men who perpetrated it.
I think that the system for rewarding and promoting referees is based not on their competence and judgement, but on their self belief, arrogance and superiority complex, as those are the traits that survive ascending through the grassroots game.
I think that too many referees come to Anfield intent on making a statement about their strength and character, as opposed to getting decisions right.
I donāt know how long youāve been on here but I can tell you one thing, 3 or 4 years ago when people like myself and Quicksand were in a small minority we were getting all sorts of shite thrown at us. Itās only as time has gone by and the corruption has become more and more obvious that peopleās opinions have changed.
As for your point on it being a major conspiracy involving too many people etc, nobody has ever claimed that and that has been pointed out time after time. It doesnāt have to be like that. It just needs cheats like Coote, Tierney, Kavanagh (Webb and Atkinson before them) to carry their bias and prejudice onto the pitch when refereeing our matches.
I donāt think thereās an organised network either and this is something that has been discussed on here plenty of times. Myself, and others, have merely stated there are a number of referees who are intent on fucking us over whenever possible and probably have a good laugh about it when on their little jollies to Indonesia.
The rest of your post I agree with.
One thing in my mind is that its highly unlikely that other people within in the referring fraternity didnāt know his feelings on Klopo and the club.
The ultimate flaw in this argument about corruption is pretty much every club thinks itās happening against them.
Now what you might have is personal opinions creating bias. But you just have to look at the reaction to the game at the weekend. Villa fans, and their manager, come away thinking theyāve been hard done by. Our fans come away astonished he didnāt think the pull on Salah was a foul. Neither think the bloke did a good enough job.
But, we get the win and so without this video surfacing weād crack on generally alright with the world until he next fucks up against us. Then weāll pull this back into the ācorruptionā argument as evidence. Weād all forget about the Bradley shirt pull though and any other decision that went in our favour.
Not saying some personal opinions may cause some kind of bias, conscious or otherwise, but thatās human nature and not corruption, conspiracy or vendetta. Unless you employ robots youāll never get rid of that entirely.
And weāve no idea what he thinks of any other manager, club, place or player. He could really hate Brummies for all we know. Just because heās said what he said on camera doesnāt mean itās his one and only opinion on the people involved in the game.
There is no grand conspiracy. There are referees who are blatantly biased against Liverpool.
This bias exists because of various factors that have been discussed ad nauseum.
People who demanded proof that certain refs are biased have this proof now.
Its no longer deniable.
And as @RER points out, its hardly likely that Cootes view wasnāt known to some of his colleagues. And he was handed Saturdays match, in which his bias was nonsensical.
Once againā¦
The amount of decisions against Liverpool, decisions that cost the club have been catalogued here time and time again.
@jaffod has listed the serious, point costing decisions that have effected the club.
No conspiracy, just noting of bias against the club that has been presented over and over again.
Evidence is produced today and all you offer is Villa fans being unhappy with a shirt pull by Conor Bradley.
