That would be great. Imagine the scenes…
Can’t stand Webb… wish he would visit TAN live and let us put some stuff to him… Mikey is no match to interview this polished turd…
I told my son before the last PL game that MacAllister would get a yellow to ban him from the next game, the ref absolutely knew that fact before he dished out that card and right at the start of the game and then he went on to book another 4 of our players. I will make another prediction that the first player to get a booking tomorrow against Fulham will be Gravy which means he will miss the following game and there are a further 4 of our players are on 3 yellows already (Cody,Szoboszlai,Trent Nunez) meaning that if they get 2 more yellows in the next 5 games they will also get banned for one match. All those bookings were dead soft and the players were not warned before getting carded. We seemed to be targeted as if we have a reputation of being a team of hatchet players.
Unsure where to put this.
There has to be a shift in teams, being ‘sporting’ and referee’s stopping the game for someone who has gone down with a supposed or routine injury.
This is done tactically to stop the flow of the game and to waste time and all fans hate it, if a player is fit enough to walk off the pitch then comes back on and goes down again, keep playing on, don’t stop.
Also, when a player is near the touchline get them off the pitch for treatment.
All the above gamesmanship is galling to most fans, players and referee’s know when someone is seriously hurt.
Lastly those players that feign head injuries when there it’s clear that it isn’t then they need dealing with either through the award of a yellow and if it also involves trying to get a player sent off then they should receive a red.
Just my ten bobs worth
The officiating was dreadful today and even Slot was nonplused by some of the decisions and he is normally never critical of the ref and he got a yellow card for his troubles. Had Diop and Pereira been red carded Robertson would still be on the pitch at the end of the game and we would finish with 11 players and most probably have won the game.
Harrington has been poor in several games I’ve seen him in.
Wasn’t surprised with what I heard.
The maddening thing is that the bad decisions have ALL gone against us
More baffled by the Gomez none penalty.
It is moronic that the sport simply doesn’t have a timer - supposedly because it is too complicated. It is not that fast-paced of a game, if a hockey or a basketball referee can officiate a game while operating a stopwatch, a football referee should be capable of the same.
But the point is that these so called injuries effect the flow of the game so having a stopwatch or adding time on isn’t the issue, get them off the field or carry on playing, then they’ll soon get up
I’ve always wanted to see a player who stays down injured to be taken off and be off the pitch for 5 mins to get a full check to ensure he is fit to continue.
If they are faking, their team is down to 10 men for 5 mins. If they have an actual injury, they can ensure they are ok to continue and VAR can do their thing in the background if the injury was from a bad challenge.
Stopwatch allows the player to be moved off the field and play to resume without affecting time. Not much you can do about protecting the flow, but if they have used all their subs they can spend some time faking it on the sideline while the game moves on.
I don’t think Iwobi was faking, but the time with the ball not in play was absolutely not added back on.
Their yard-dog got booked for the foul on Robbo but Robbo still had to go off for 30 seconds.
2nd half one of their’s fakes an injury and is down for 2 minutes but doesn’t have to go off.
Harrington was fucking useless today and stunk of having Webb in his ear.
What annoyed me was the Fulham player who scored the second should not have been on the pitch as he raked Robertsons knee earlier in the game red all day long even Mike dean the ex ref thought it was a red all day long as well as the Diop raking on Gravy’s ankle. Atwell in the VAR room didn’t deem it dangerous but was reckless. Ironically robbo got sent off because he was injured from that earlier tackle and tripped the Fulham player Wilson because he couldn’t run back to tackle him properly.
Whenever Atwell is VAR we can expect our players to be assaulted with impunity, he’s got plenty of previous.
Yes he is part of the gang of 8 and Cootes cronies
I had more issues with Tete, he received treatment, walked off the pitch then came back on, then went down on the pitch, he was injured but he was perfectly able to walk off the pitch, so don’t stop the game carry on and even allow restarts as he didn’t need treatment!
Have you thought through this, if a player is injured in a bad foul and has to go off for treatment and is subsequently off for 5 minutes as you said and the opposition now have 11 men against your 10, so therefore you are being penalised and they have the advantage. As happened to Robbo!!!
Exactly, carry on playing especially when Tete came back on after his treatment and sat down on the floor so the ref stopped the game, KEEP ON PLAYING he can walk off!
Diop did Robbo and Perreira, their goalscorer, did Grav
