The Referees or The Twelfth Man

They just say stuff.

Stuff and nonsense.

ā€˜Not unreasonable’. That’s where we’re at.

I stopped worrying about match officials a long time ago. 80% of them are bastards, and Howard Webb is the worst.

I stopped watching the Premier League a long time ago (aside from us). The shite officiating is a major factor in that.

That audio is infuriating. Their real time reasons for ruling it out are clearly focusing on a concern with line of sight being blocked, yet in their post-hoc explanations they have critically given us a different explanation, one that is used when line of sight is not a concern. Because they know there was no line of sight issue and they needed something else to pretend to believe in. Now we know what they think they saw and that the video evidence shows something else. That is THE textbook use case for VAR, but VAR is pretending they saw the same thing as the lino and the ref chief is backing the decision

Its infuriating to see the reflexive circling of the wagons at the best of times, but it feels almost Soviet that this is at least the second time where they stood up in front of the public and showed us a video of what happened and then bare faced lied about what the video clearly showed (Doku got to the ball).

Discussed this with a United supporting colleague today and he said something that stuck. With VAR, how the hell do they get it wrong?

No answer to that other than they are :poop:

Doesn’t even scratch the surface where this corrupt cunt is concerned. You can throw in the VVD Goodison derby, the last Goodison derby, the non penalty and Mbuenos goal against the mancs.
Sick of saying it, there’s enough there against him and other cheating cunts to go to the PL and defy them to say it’s above board.

So has there ever been a ref that favoured LFC?

There was one time when Akanji was blown for a foul when challenging Allison. It was a scandal i tell you.

ā€œIt’s not unreasonable for the goal to be disallowed
Therefore it’s reasonable for the goal to be allowed. What a load of bullshit from Webb. It’s either offside or it isn’t, there’s nothing in between.
Webb is just scratching around trying to justify the decision and failing.

No never even Dean didn’t but he supported Tranmere.

According to Howard Webb, Jose Sa wasn’t impacted because because Bernardo moved to the left, but Donnarumma was impacted because Robertson ducked under it.

Michael Owen did OK by his piss poor standards, but I wish could have @Limiescouse doing that role.

You must remember Mac Allister getting away with a stonewall penalty in the pre-season charity shield curtain raiser. We’ve clearly got PGMOL paid off.

Bugger I can’t hear/see this as it isn’t available in my location.

I watched the game with non Liverpool supporting mates (who all wanted us to lose btw) and even they were aggrieved at the pen decision then told me to turn the game off once Virgil’s goal was disallowed. ā€œThis is beyond rigged why are we wasting our time watching this garbageā€ was the general consensus. They didn’t even rub it in my face as opposition fans normally would, instead they sympathised over the complete dross served up by the PGMOL.
