It’s been like that for 30 years. Utd always got the rub of the green in the 90’s under fergie, Arsenal had long periods of favorable reffing decisions under Wenger, Chelsea under Jose.
It’s the problem isn’t it… these refs write the narrative of a game, instead of staying into the background as they should. You get the feeling that they simply can’t help themselves, and always look for the headlines.
That’s before looking into possible corruption. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if a scandal came out one day, of how Cheaty were paying refs to influence results in their favour. After all, Cheaty are already proven cheaters, and these refs are obviously weak, so why not?
