Are they trying to rope-a-dope Putin?
When I updated, for a short time, I found it easier to post in three formats; the strategic situation and bigger picture in one post, tactical situations in another post and individual stories/actions/strikes in another post. Helps to correlate information and makes it easier to process. Might help the duplications.
There is also a significant amount of disinformation out there, some commentary on the veracity of claims, even your own opinion, is always nice. Keep it up buddy.
Surely not as stupid as the Russians?
I am glad I’m not the only one with that problem. I also have the added problem that my boss and her other staff are as well.
Maybe his customers are the Russians
I stay away from posting on the equipment stuff unless it’s commitments by countries. Or a tractor pulling a tank for the most part I stick to the overview stuff.
definitely not. my customers pay their bills
okay, some updates for today…
surprised they didn’t steal them
interesting twist. Why would UA pilots needs to train on American aircraft? All signs point to war…
afaik it’s a bit of a pickle to officialy register it in mother Russia. I remember one of 'em asking via social network how to do it. He stole X5? at the beginning of the war.
@Semmy you said everything indicates all out war, sorry lad but it is the start of WW3, it will be slow, but its been building since 2013 Syria, not one detente in 9 years. We win this but its going to be messy. There might be a brief respite, but we should all know this by now. Forewarned is forearmed. I also think we knew, who can explain the convenience of the Afghanistan withdrawal and then this?
Anyone got any good news? I think I’ll kill myself now!
Im not far from you now near Ashton, need any help?
Thanks, I’ll just drink heavily instead.
nothing good will come of this. A few greedy old men will get tens or hundreds of thousands killed, for what???
Makes me sick just thinking about it.
There is that aspect to it also, for the deadly sins. Pride greed anger. This is where it is born. It used to make me feel the same, it makes me want to fight now. People will say this is just feeding the problem, but it was artificial to conclude life is without conflict. Its also the major teaching of the Bhagavad Gita, confliuct will come and you must fight. Both sides are evil actually.
I feel sorry for Ukr. Pawned by the US. Skimmed by the Rus, for centuries. And I was always disinterested in geography but its probably the most important aspect to this. Its clear tho Rus have no more than siege and nukes, and a lot of betrayal.
it’s been going on for centuries. check out this story about my grandfather’s uncle.
born December 1, 1887 in Yanchyn, Peremyshliany District, Ukraine. Jaroslav achieved the title of doctor of law and graduated shortly after from the graduant course of the Trade Academy in Vienna. He was enlisted into one-year military service with the Austrian army and nominated as a military provisions official. During the war, he was awarded the gold cross for bravery and with a second gold cross for service (with a crown). After the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, he entered into service with the newly-established Ukrainian State and became a ranking sotnyk with the Command of the Third Galician Korpus. Later, he held the position of referent intendantury with the Directory Government ZUNR of Dr. Yevhen Petrushevych in Kamianets in the Podillia. After the departure of the Dictator on November 16, 1919 to Vienna, Dr. Jaroslav Selezinka took over the responsibilities of the chief of the Military Chancellery as a ranking otaman and the functions of personal secretary to the President. Engineer Stepan Kuropas, author of the article entitled “Working regiments of the Ukrainian Galician Army in Prague”, which was included in the quarterly journal “Visti Kombatanta” (no. 3-4) in 1962, confirms that major Selezinka headed the Ukrainian Consulate in Prague, whose head was initially Professor Dr. Stepan Smal-Stocky. At that time there was a number of Ukrainians living in the diaspora that took advantage of the Ukrainian passports issued by this Consulate, and several even came to the United States with these passports. It is here that there is an innaccuracy, because Professor Smal-Stocky was an Ambassador of the ZUNR (Western Ukrainian National Republic) in Prague, and not a Consul General. It is possible that otaman Selezinka was, before the departure to Vienna, a military attache with the Embassy. Following the final decision on the fate of Galicia by the Council of Ambassadors on March 15, 1923, Dictator Dr. Yevhen Petrushevych dissolved his government, all of his chancelleries, diplomatic representative offices and missions, and Dr. Jaroslav Selezinka returned to Galicia, where he was arrested and sentenced by the Polish authorities for criminal activities against the whole Polish State. After being imprisoned for one year, he was released through an amnesty. He eventually opened a law office in Radekhiv and became a leading and active member of the Ukrainian community on this territory. In 1930, he was imprisoned, along with his wife, for four months for exhibiting hostile behaviour towards the Polish State. The Polish police conducted 16 revisions (searches) of their home. During the first occupation of Western Ukraine by the Bolsheviks, Dr. Jaroslav Selezinka was exiled and executed (shot) at the death camp in Yertsevo, Arkhangelsk region, Russia.
He’s the person who got my grandfather and his parents their passports and onto a ship to Canada. We know nothing about our family prior to that generation, on that lineage. records were destroyed over the centuries of fighting over this region between Russia, Poland and other countries as these areas were established.
The West is nearing the end of capacity to supply UKR with the ex-Soviet kit that their pilots are familiar with, but the US in particular has loads of types like the F-16 in use only in Air National Guard units. If the Ukrainian air force can be trained on those air frames, there is an enormous available supply.
I figured as much, there’s entire airfields of decommissioned aircraft floating around the united states that they’d probably sell to UA on the cheap instead of having to recycle all of the components.
Russia already heading to the brink of war anyways, it’s not far away.
