There is speculation that Moscowā€™s real air defences are well inside the outer ring road, so Kapotnya is not fully protected. Ukrainians appear to have figured that out. They canā€™t get Putin, but they can make him see smoke in the sky.

Probably, but even so, Kapotnya should be well inside the engagement envelope of the fixed SAM sites. All the air defense seemed to be were mobile fireteams trying, and failing, to engage and alot of the time they were causing damage of their own.

On another note, I know that battle damage reports and videos to their population from inside Russia is suppressed to a large extent but too many more scenes like that will hopefully get the knives out for Mr Putin.

In reality the Russians shot down almost all Ukrainian drones though. But there were almost 300 of them or something like that, including missiles (all of whom the Russians shot down). The video clip above which you posted of the Russian AD missile flying into the tank, was from a Pantsir and not a hand-held Igla, as an example.

There is also the issue of S-400 missiles being in shorter supply, so they are not necesarilly used against the drones. Primarily, GBAD was BUKs and Pantsirs while S-400 shot down all Ru Missiles, but did not, I think, engage the drones much.

This on the photo is a smaller one, in Moscow City centre they have been hoisted on top of high rise buildings.

Ukraine has no real chance to counter attack in this area and havenā€™t had for months (which is why we have seen smaller Ukrainian counter on the weaker lines where Russia is lacking manpower). Russia does not lack manpower hereā€¦

Personally, unfortunately, I expect a new disaster here in terms of encirclement, but I pray that I am wrong. But Syrsky is Syrsky and a lot of Ukrainian commanders are tickheaded Soviet pigs in terms of assessing when retreat is far more favourable than continued fighting, in terms of loss of manpower versus what the enemy will lose when they have fully flanked you and command your supply linesā€¦

Maybe this should be in the Breaking News section. But that would be an enormous hassle for me, since then I would need to write long to explain the background for this to all the ignoramuses who cares nothing about the war and would think this is some sort of hyper agressive Ukrainian escalation. But you readers of this thread know better, so I donā€™t have to bother with those extremely tedious pedgogic long posts (that requires a hell of a lot of sourcing and digging for old posts and articles on my part, since people know no relevant background info).

Another factor is that it would likely piss me off if I wrote a very long and well sourced post that I spent 2-3 hours on, but a fool ended up not even understanding it and articulated that loudly. No patience for that. Particularly not now on drugs after surgery and a long hospital journey.

I think OSINT has showed that it was a Pantsir system and that it came from a GBAD tower. But I am not 100% sure, just 90%. I cannot find it now.
