The Spursy Thread

Isn’t long for the spursy job.

Spurs fans that I know in NZ are still behind Ange, the results may not be what they want but the style is, especially with the drab style of footy they had to put with from the likes of Conte and Mourinho,

They are like us, last season, in that they need a quality finisher up top,

They have Solanke and Richarlison

Exactly

Although Solanke has only just returned from injury

Dear me, there isn’t a game or highlights of Werner playing where you don’t see his usual brainfarts. Don’t know if I can even call them as such because it seems his brain isn’t great. Such a limited footballer. It’s even worse than Nunez. Actually feel sorry for the guy I see his face and the reactions of his team mates.

I can’t believe why Spurs thought they needed him again this season, along with an option to buy. They have 3-4 players for his position and even if they didn’t have this depth, I’d rather go to the Academy and, without even double-checking, ask “give me your best kid in this position” for a dozen EL and League Cup games.

Certainly a lesson of going to Chelsea there.

How can someone who was so good in Germany be this bad ?

Chelsea screwed him up bigtime

Sancho & Weghorst send their regards.

It’s less about where in the world they come from and more to do with the environment they’re brought into, the system they’re brought to function in and more importantly, their mentality to succeed.

I remember some regular Bundesliga watchers on here weren’t too keen on him when we were linked with him when he was at Leipzig. Glad the club higher-ups lurk on TAN.

Is it starting to get tetchy for Postecoglu yet? Some of his interviews have been a tough watch, as he has veered between angry/surly/defending his record/looking at the floor speaking softly in gentle resignation.

I really liked the fella last season, and now that they are being tested a bit more texture to his personality and acumen is coming out.

A couple of results and they are up there again, so I wouldn’t have thought he is in and danger, yet, but Levy has form for being decisive.

The Utd result gave him brief respite but it’s been difficult for him there since the end of last season. Results werent good through the spring, but his comments about the City game really seemed to have exacerbated that.

It would be the most Spursy thing in the world for their manager to correctly identify a self-defeating element of the club’s personality (wanting to lose to City to fuck Arsenal) and demanding better for that to be one of the key things that sets his trajectory towards the fans wanting him out.

Wasn’t he challenging us last week?

There was at least one post suggesting this.

I just had a Teams meeting and the geezer on the other end (Arse season ticket holder) came in with his best Ange impression.

We laughed.

The first premier league club to be 2-0 up 10 times and lose, very spursy.

Everton sees a table they can try to top…

Everton’s played the far better football out of the two.

Dyche is probably perfect for United.
