The Spursy Thread

ENIC forced out Sugar in the early 2000s. My experience of Spurs up to then had been of them being not much different than how people view West Ham now, a club living off decades old success

This move is interesting though with it coming from Tavistock itself. Lewis is old and has been beset by legal issues the last few years and so this looks like a succession like generational shift with the kids trying to find ways to exert their newly found influence.

Yeah I remember Klinsmann but the club was mediocre in the 90s I think they were relegation threatened once or twice. West Ham is a very good comparison.

I am sure I’ve seen several clubs being taken over and they always suggest around 1bn.

£1.2bn for players, FFP and PSR say hello :waving_hand:

Surely purely football (bluetick) would check their sources immaculately.

I tell you what, if a consortium were actually offering 3.3b but reserving 1.2b for players, Levy and Lewis family are going to say we want a big chunk of that ‘player budget’ and hold out for 4b.

Now we’ve won our game this weekend we know where that focus shifts.

I didn’t watch the match, so I lack the context here. Why would they do that? I thought things were going well for them, at least compared to their PL performance last season.

I’d sell them immediately.

No Spurs player has the right to act like they know best. Flakiest bunch of flakes that ever flaked.

Everything about yesterday was oddly negative given their decent start under him. The performance, the fan reaction to it, and now the player reaction to Frank.

They all feel that they are a bigger and better club than their results show, billy big bollocks including their fans

Frank probably tells them to stay on the pitch and go with the rest of the team to the fans end, very German-style. The players obviously tell him to f*ck off. :joy:

I know it is exactly why talkback radio exists, but the number of Spurs I have heard calling in and going ballistic at Frank is gold.

Apparently Bissouma has been pictured inhaling nitrous oxide.

I didn’t realise he was still at Spurs. I remember there was talk of us getting him while Jurgen was around.

Thank goodness for the “no dickheads” rule!
