When the fans show up in London and call on Kane…

Now we hear they’re claiming the Covid card…for matches for December…
Yeah, yeah, yeah…

So under Uefa rules, if they have 13 fit ‘A’ list players including 1 GK, they have to play the game against Rennes.

If not it can be postponed but must be played before 31st December.

THe rest of their December schedule is
12th - Brighton (A)
16th - Leicester (A)
19th - Liverpool (H)
22 - West Ham (H) - EFL Cup
26th - Crystal Palace (H)
28th - Southampton (A)
1st Jan - Watford (A)

So it begs the question, if the game against Rennes is postponed, when the fuck do they play it before the end of December?

I suggest they play it on the 19th or 20th December. Both dates look okay to me! :grinning: Is it a ‘Must Win’ game for them? Do second qualify in that prestigious competition or are they already out?

might be less embarrassing for the club to be knocked out of the competition…

Rather than holding the trophy aloft and running around the pitch if you win it :0)

They play us on 19th, so that is already out.

I know but we’ve played two matches on the same day before so a precedent has been set.

You forget, we’re the cunts of football, so any chance the authorities have to fuck us over is not only welcomed, but taken with both both hands

18th or 19th surely

Obviously on the 27th.

My mistake, 18th of December.

They are already 1 PL game behind, which is screwing around with top 5 season comparisons. Adding COVID cancellations is a huge no. The would have to play youth team for any cup games in December rather than postpone a PL game.

Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura, Bryan Gil, Ben Davies, Emerson Royal and Cristian Romero have tested positive for Covid-19, along with coaches Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason. #THFC [Wayne Veysey]

So 8 positive …usually you would have 16players on average available for a PL game…so you’ve got 8 already…you surely have another 10 players in your set up…and back room staff…
JUST GET ON WITH IT…

Not really that simple when you consider that most of the rest of the players would likely have been exposed to the players that have tested positive, and may be hours away from being positive themselves. It is certainly not fair to their opponents to expose them to that risk. In the absence of a forfeiture, the game should be rescheduled to fit Rennes (and Brighton’s) schedule.

Those who aren’t + should take daily tests…and the others should be isolating…but hasn’t this been going on a week …or is it a bit of a Covid get out card…

I am not sure it is much of a get-out card. The UEFA fixture must be played by end of December, and there aren’t many gaps in Spurs’ schedule as it is. If it gets moved, it probably gets moved to a time where it is a third game in a seven day period, and played by a shorthanded team to boot.

Stick the day after our game.

Rennes have a mid week break between the 12th and the 18th so I assume that would be the specific date, I doubt they would want to interrupt their winter break for it and Spurs don’t have the space and considering Rennes are second.

There is no guarantee that they have a squad for Brighton eithier. Only way I see it is play Brighton Sunday, play Rennes Tuesday and move Leicester to Friday night or keep it Thursday

fuck em. play kids if you have to.
We had to when we lost nearly half our team last year.
Its only for a few days not all season like us.
