Confirms it can be transferred by spittal then…!

Wow - Rennes waited for assurances yesterday that the game was going ahead, and then flew to London. They are not happy.

Can you blame them?

I hope they use this to play shithousery tactics as to when the game is rescheduled

Not at all. I’d be livid. Telling your opponent the game was still on Wednesday afternoon must have been in parallel with both communication to UEFA and at the very least uncertainty about the number of positives so far.

I feel like there was complete lack of leadership/organisation from UEFA here. I think it was quite clear by yesterday that the outbreak would not be contained. They should have called off the match sooner.

It would depend on when Spurs requested it and also depend on when PHE got in to assess the outbreak.

If I understand it correctly, PHE only closed their first team training area today, so realistically no decision would have been made before that. But could Spurs havve done more to get PHE in quicker is the question I would be asking

It’s fine. Harry will have them over next time as his guests…

I do hope they play before they face us or I’ll be angry.

At the very least, they play for the Covid Cup versus Leicester on 12/16, but at least one of the fixtures really should be made up on the Tuesday.

If that survives that’s my annoyance, hopefully this means they can put Rennes earlier next week.

So they got their way then

It screws them because they have to make up the Europe cup game in December and are 2 behind in the PL. As long as our games aren’t adjusted to squeeze their game in, I don’t care.

We will have to see when UEFA reschedules for - if they play Tuesday or Wednesday next week, I doubt they will be pleased.

It is certainly what Rennes should press for… I’m not sure where else it can be fit in considering Rennes play Sunday and Wednesday the following week.

French FA also need to be arsey in this.

If this was the first time then i would have some sympathy but some of their player like Leicester were holding parties and avoiding curfews like Johnson and his ilk last Christmas.

The FA should have filed charges of disrepute back then but they were spineless in that.
