And where Gakpo was concerned , the club didnt mind him moving to City. It was only the fact that the bid came so late that stopped Liverpool from getting the move done.
So Liverpool clearly didnât mind doing business with city.
Without massively cheating, City would have never been in a position to even âwinâ their first league title. Thatâs what was a huge deciding factor for progressively better and more well-known talents to start going there. In addition, their shameless financial impropriety allowed them to sign those players on contracts that few clubs in the world can match.
Not sure if they could remove them, then bring them back in - would create a huge mess for the league in regards to missed games and points awarded for those games.
Personally I think the better approve would be allow the refs to play a little game we can call âIf Man City get fouled, donât give itâ similar to Kevin Lynch when he got sick of Ian Wright being mouthy towards him.
relegation to EL league 2 and minus 100 points to start with.
No European football for 10 years
Stripped of their titles, EPL, UEFA Champions League, F.A Cup, Carabao Cup
Those EPLs should be awarded to the team who came 2nd.
All the players medals must be returned
No buying players for 5 years.
IF Manchester Citlty donât get some form of punishment, then the rest of the EPL clubs need to go on strike and refuse to play their players in any game and then sue the Man City
They can have a redemption story, but it needs to take 20 years. They should be expelled from the PL, refused entry to the Football League and fined at least 1billion pounds. They can rent their asses out all around the UK as they spend 10 plus years working their way back to the football league if they want redemption. The Gulf state owners will fuck off back to their sandcastles (the PM should bar the individuals from any visas/not allow them to set foot in the UK).
Fining Man City is not a big punishment, the owners have a bottomless pit of money.
They are ready to drag it out in the courts for months and months.
This Emirati family love prestige, being in places with royalty, going to Ascot etc and titles. Taking the EPL and European titles away from them will hurt their pride and prestige in the eyes of the football world.
We all know since years that they are cheaters. But I have to say that independently of what actual fine theyâll get, I enjoy seeing them getting the public shame treatment right now. They thoroughly deserve it for all the harm they did to football as a whole over the last fifteen years or so.
Youâre the Mod, normally the rock of sense.
This is schoolboy name calling in a discussion that allows us to celebrate a great moment in sport. Cheats getting their dues.
Mind you, the levels of âcomedyâ on here has declined. Gifs replacing actual thought, the jokes page riddled with inane attempts at humour. Peaches is badly missed.
We could celebrate this momentous occasion like lads in a pub, without the Shamchester shite.
That would be really cool.
But youâre the Mod. You decide.
Probably opening the door for some side splitting gifs now, lads keen to show how savvy they are.
Grumpy thread is the most grown up on here, tells you something?
