The thread for those Vile Cheats Manchester City. Who cheated

Does anyone know how many times they’re allowed to appeal?

Their irrefutable proof had already been presented and it was refuted, that’s clear as their witnesses were deemed suspect.

City’s appeal will be based on presenting the same thing to a new panel and hope for a better outcome. I just hope the new panel are chosen carefully and will act decisively again.

If you take city out of the equation the PL still has Liverpool, Man utd, Arsenal and Chelsea. All of them big draws and all potentially capable of putting a good season together and winning the league and more. Add to that Brighton, Spurs, Newcastle and Villa who can all do well in European competitions as well as the English cups. Add to that Brentford , Forest and Everton and you’ve got a hugely attractive product.

Any winning team to leave the league is going to be a loss but that gives other clubs a chance to step up.

and there are generations of football fans out there who support other teams in the EPL,

we dont want them walking away from football either

Fair point actually. One small step back towards football having a soul.

Maybe a mega fine that goes to grass roots football or charity as you say.

Doing well in League One.

That’s what you pick out from all i wrote😂. Brentford have been doing well but glad to hear so have Bradford.

It is an obvious statement of what happens when a team is successful or a person over a period of time. A section of society will always ‘glory hunt’ or piggy back on success. I don’t see why anyone would be upset or offended by that. If teh scum continue to be unsuccessful then their fanbase will reduce and those people will support other clubs… a lot of those will already have grown up as city fans instead. @Bonus 100%… so the obvious step is to find a compromise were iin this case the league as a product doesn’t lose any of them. It is logic. If i view it without emotion

Donate the entire funds to grassroots football. Take away the stadium from man City and the academy too.

Use the premises as a high performance system for grassroots football.

Let city go back to maine road and start from scratch again after their accomplishments are taken away from them

And if that stadium isn’t there , they can look for a smaller stadium and start in league 2.

IMO it’s not even an appeal they can put in today. The PL gave them the chance to ‘react’ to their statement.

I think a punishment will be announced before the end of the year (points deduction, transfer ban, fine) and then City is going to appeal and fight against those punishments until the end of the season.

Ordinarily just once, but this is an Arbitration, not a court per se, and so they can exhaust the one right to Appeal within that, but could then also, if they can come up with a sufficiently strong argument, Appeal further to the High Court on a point of law, usually procedural unfairness, and we can read already, they are setting things up for that.

I don’t think they could start in league 2. it would take the efl clubs to vote them in? I am unsure about which teague, perhaps north west counties if they’d accept them? i can’t recall were afc wimbledon started up or fc scum of scumchester or watever they are called

They will have to start somewhere and work themselves up.

Maybe a phoenix club can be formed if so needed.

I really don’t care about the adult fans of that club.

The children are young enough that they can take the lessons from this and move on to another club.

The people who supported man City despite knowing that they were cheating can all fuck off or go back to supporting the other cheating blue shit team. I have absolutely no sympathies for them.

The premier league is what 35 years old. Not counting the precursor. And city have been guilty of cheating for half its existence. That’s a huge slap in the face to any football fan.

Have those cheating bastards sent in their appeal application yet?

And good luck to Man City in hoping that the Independent Commission consisting of minimally KCs or even ex-judges has fucked up so badly in terms of jurisdiction, legal conduct and procedural irregularity that the High Court will even entertain taking up the case.

This was actually a good watch, they had a solicitor on talking about the appeal process and what the options of appeal are and how as it goes higher it diminishes at each stage what they can actually appeal.

And I really don’t care about the worldwide fanbase. That group will mostly move on and support PSG or any other team just because they have the players.

Fans of other PL clubs won’t stop watching their teams if they don’t feel the City punishment is sufficient. There might be a sense of injustice or frustration but is anyone here tearing up their Liverpool season ticket or cancelling their TV subscription if City don’t get punted to the moon for this? I doubt it.

But losing Man City from the league for an extended period given their prominence and recent standing would have an impact on the commercial side of the league. Undoubtedly so in the short term at least.

I look at the Calcipoli scandal as an example. Influencing the match officials to be favourable to certain clubs is arguably a more egregious act than pumping money into a club. It perhaps wasn’t proved to be on the same sustained scale as City’s cheating but they essentially corrupted the outcome of games directly. Could Serie A live without Juve for five years? At that time probably not. But now they’ve naturally faded away it’s not quite such an issue.

That’s not to directly compare the two sets of cheating or say City should get a lighter punishment. Just more that at that time Serie A will have undoubtedly factored in the commercial implications when deciding on a punishment because Juve was the one of their cash cows.

When Rangers were booted out it was originally suggested that they should go to Scottish Division 1. The teams in that league objected, because fundamentally, Rangers wasn’t their problem. The ended up in the 4th tier, rather than regional or Junior leagues, because the clubs lower down fancied a big payout from their still considerable travelling support.

In truth, there hasn’t been a case like this. There has been insolvency. Bury are probably the last case of that. City aren’t technically insolvent but have been floated with funny money. They are both fabulously rich and penniless at the same time.

I dare say aston villa , forest and leeds have a bigger fanbase in UK than these guys.

They were struggling to fill up their stadium till a few seasons back.
