There is something called Associated Party Transactions in the PL and it is tightly regulated.. And what Man City is saying now is literally contradicting what they said in a sworn statement to the US government.
I find it so hard to agree with people or see the logic in āweāve lost out on titlesā. If thiings that have happened didnāt happen then other things would have happened. The world would take a different course. We donāt know Jurgen Klopp would ever have arrived here. Brendan Rodgers, Hodgson or Dalglish might still be in charge! It is far too simplistic a position to take. The scum might not have spent 90 million on pogab or 85m ish on anthony.
itās like they donāt give a shit about the PL as a regulator and are willing to lie to them and the citeh fans. Only when faced with situations with actual legal ramifications, then they actually straighten themselves out with the threat of perjury hanging over their heads.
My interest has waned significantly in recent years and probably from COVID onwards itās really dipped. If anything our battles with City have been the most exciting part of it and actually kept me more interested than I otherwise would. Maybe thatās why Iām a little less wound up than most.
But itās not just the City cloud. Itās the obscene money, the ridiculous partisanship, the content creator crap, Neville and Carragher, over priced TV subscriptions, having a betting company shoved down your throat at every turn, VAR, shite refs, the treatment of match going fans, fucking half time shows during the world cup final. City are just another part of the game eating itself in the pursuit of cash.
Weāve missed our moments. No punishment gets those moments back. Iād love to see City stripped of their titles but I donāt want them re-awarded. Itād be completely hollow and just a number on the historical record. Supporting a football club is about the emotions it gives you. Nothing that happens to them gives us that feeling of winning the league. If anything them getting relegated almost guarantees Arsenal fans a couple more titles. Whereās the justice in that?
I agree with you that they arenāt the sole problem in this league. But since Abu Dhabi came in eighteen years ago, they are an important part and symbol of what went wrong since then. Removing them and their corrupt owners would be a step in the right direction imo.
fans of the future⦠a ground full of people looking at their phones and taking selfies .. whilst not taking a blind bit of notice of the excellent officiating .. ahem
This ploy to implicate and deflect toward Etihad is pure verbiage.
City still nevertheless contracted for that sponsorship and Etihad are crucially not PL members. As such they have no standing, and will always be a 3rd party.
