And in fact the outcome only became public knowledge after the judgment was shared more widely, among PL clubs. City and the PL kept the outcome confidential for over a month before that.

City knew for a month and only got worked up when the world knew.

Cut them some slack. It take a lot of time and manpower to cultivate such a body of irrefutable evidence of their innocence and keep it hidden so well.

Which makes me wonder were the PL giving the cheating cunts time to build their squad up while assuring them they wouldn’t be relegated? The depth of feeling against the cunts might have taken the PL by surprise, they may have thought fines and transfer bans would suffice.
Unlikely, but who knows?

I think they would have fudged the verdict rather than the sentence if that was the case?
At least I hope so.

Do we ignore that the appeal and what might be in that appeal .. as well as media and social media looking for ways to discredit any appeal route… is actually being played out? the clickbait media reaction to the leak was ridiculous. The media doesn’t give a shit about you or me. They don’t care what happens at all with city. it ll be a shitshow if they get off on a technicality… the media just wants to create hysteria and cash in. we’ll probably end up with a Video Account Referee. I am not pro city I am not letting the media tell me what is and isn’t either. I am not insinuating that you are either. The game can’t even agree on what an offside is , handball or count to 5 on a throw in. People are putting a lot of faith in the premier league because it suits them. that is a worry in itself!

What does it matter? The judgment is what it is.

Judgement aside, isn’t it a wonderful compassionate gesture that someone would return to the forum after 2 whole seasons away, just as this news broke, offering a voice of reason about how it would be better if City were found not guilty.
Then giving us food for thought about what the world would be like if Covid hadn’t happened, and tell us he’s concerned about this City news being detrimental to our mental wellbeing.

So touching

Yeah i often think about coming back to the forum, I have real friends here. I struggle to read everything and conversing with lots of different people overwhelms me at times. I could see that i was trying to articulate my point with you but i was failing and that it was unfair on you, who was trying to make do with the information you had, it is hard work when ones brain can’t find the right word or remember the start of a sentence or conversation. I spend most of my time talking to a friend i made , who also is disabled, via a fifa pc discord, because 1 v 1 chat is far easier. You may or may not know what it is like when something comes along and changes your whole world and how you interact with it, i care about my fellow liverpool supporters, particularly those i met on TIA. A lot of people here unknowingly helped me though a real struggle mentally, just by being people to chat to on topic like alberto moreno! and studge.

Genuine question.

Do you in any manner believe City are innocent of any of the charges. Charges they are found guilty of?

Genuinely I am wary of the system. whether they are guilty or not guilty imho is a moot point. I feel like we could be set up for a underwhelming horrible outcome either way. That is what i think. I do recall around 2009 or 2010 having an issue with the amount of money they could spend. i am certain they have broken some rules or bent them aye/ prepare for the worst? and anything above that is good? or better? . it is all very sad.

Don’t mess with Quicksand. Yes or no.

Guilty or not guilty isnt a moot point. Its the crux point.

They are guilty, in the view of a panel that exhausted all avenues, all evidence and sll the excuses. They can appeal, obviously. But in any logical world the appeal will fail. If right is right it has to fail.

To be fair, I put you on the spot. Guilty or not of any charges. You didn’t actually answer the question. You might want them to be cleared for order to return, but you haven’t answered the simple question.

It is a moot point. we are now at a stage were guilty = shitshow appeal/high court= shitshow.

If the don’t get some massive punishment or what the outcomes of that guilty verdict brings is going to be shitshow and not accepted by football fans

if they get off at appeal or high court.. the premier league will be a shitshow. football fans won;t accept it and wil turn on the govt or premier league. depending on what that reason was for them gtting off/away with it.

I did say i think they have broken or bent some rules. .. i should have said financial ones.. we know this to be an absolute fact from 2014 uefa case. There wasn’t premier league ffp so much during those years or some of them? i forget when ffp iin premier league started. is the whole report out in the publc domain for this gulty verdict? not the 40 page one but the whole thing? please don’t read that like a defensive comment .. genuinely unaware if it is or isnt out there! hope ive answered wht you asked.

The Premier League, nor PGMOL for that matter, have ruled here. This judgement was reached by a panel of independent adjudicators.

oh i know that. the premier league sets the rules and they carried out the investigation? so it wouldn’t be a shock to me if they had made an error of some kind somewhere. some legal loophole that gets jumped through. if you get me.
