whilst not understanding anything thats been said/written or having any clue about the process but having a pro man city opionion on everything that happens…
I don’t understand why there can’t be a points deduction now. That’s what happened with Everton. They were penalized, they appealed, and the points deduction was reduced.
So why not impose a massive points deduction now and make it clear that there will be further sanctions. Then, once City have exhausted the appeals process, expel them from the PL at the end of the season. In that way they fulfill their fixtures and are then sent down. Hopefully down to the National League or whatever is below that.
Not only for the integrity of the game and ensuring just sanctions reflecting the severity of the breaches are issued, but to also make sure if the leader of the country has had his snout in the trough he needs to be held to account.
I find it odd that we don’t know what the penalty is at all. They’ve had long enough to process the charges, surely at some point someone considered what the penalty should be. Normally it’s charge, verdict, penalty, appeal. Otherwise we may end up in yet another appeal regarding the validity of the penalty.
That’s good to hear, but I wonder why the PL informed the likes of the red mancs, Arsenal and us before the rest of the PL clubs. Is there an explanation for that?
I still find it ridiculous that media etc go on like this is shocking and breaking news. We’ve all known pretty much since they took over that city owners were fiddling the books, we just didn’t have the proof. Maybe once the appeal etc is upheld those same media/tv presenters can just be upfront and honest and admit that like the rest of us, we/they knew all along.
It serves their purpose. The media make their money by building up this newcomer, this upstart who takes on the established teams and then goes on to dominate the league. They love dealing in superlatives, whether good or bad. Especially when bad. They’re having a field day tearing down City now (not enough in my books, they’re giving too many City heads a chance to spout rubbish and not pulling them up on it on the spot).
Okay, I chatted with @koptician in private the other day. It took a short time but he got to the point were he nailed it. I can’t deal with people trying to change the past and alter my experiences. It’s made me who i am today, I have a life long disability. Punish them for cheating but don’t try and tell people like myself that things could have been different. It is not fair.
The legal challenges the clubs have registered their intent to pursue are at serious risk due to legal statue of limitations. The league seemingly acted here to ensure there was no claim against them for sitting on the information and negatively impacting the chance of success for these cases.
I dont think we have clear info on how much earlier they knew than the league wide email that was sent at the end of September, but presumably it was the shortest possible email with the least amount of info possible to communicate what was needed allowing them to send it out ASAP while they worked on a more formal official email to the full group of 19 clubs.
