I forget which Piso got caught trying to bribe his way to the consulship. He then stood trial for bribery, wherein he bribed his way out of the charges. Then he engaged in bribery in the following years consulship elections, successfully this time. The senate then tried to pass an anti bribery law as a result of all the bribery. Piso used his singular consular veto to kill the anti bribery law and stop it from coming into effect

Okay the lad is not through and through white hat but when i know that some vile despicable criminals are segregated for their own safety, it feel so so so wrong when a lad like this was deemed not worthy of protection.

Does he have this because of this case.

Frankly how innocent really are a club whose whistleblower has to have witness protection in another country?

I am told that he holds a lot more information on subjects other than city, there was a point were he tried to extort money using this information. He is very much in the grey area of hackers.

Apparently Pep is going to show his support to the club by attending a home game over the next few weeks. This game is rumoured to be the PSG game….pathetic!

Like I am baffled by how fucking comedy that sounds like we will all go… oh well Pep’s turned up maybe they are innocent after all :joy:

Their lying and performative garbage is on the level of that orange fuck nugget in the White House.

For me, I was genuinely surprised that they were found guilty of such a large number of the charges. Unfortunately, despite the compelling verdict I feel they will worm themselves out of it somehow.

What I can’t understand is why it took a whistle blower/hacker to expose and instigate the whole process.
How it was even conceivable that a Clubs revenue could increase to the point that they topped clubs who had built their revenue over decades of success, is beyond me.
How often do you see someone wearing a Citeh shirt? In my 4 years of working away across the UK I reckon I have not seen more than a total of 20 people wearing Man City shirts.

They need to be penalised for what they achieved on the pitch through their cheating and also the impact this success has had off the pitch commercially.
As far as I am aware TV revenues from their success have not been factored into the £830m nor has prize money and increased exposure. Success has allowed them to increase their commercial value, which means even genuine sponsorship deals are based on false valuations.
They will have also seen an increase in their fanbase, especially with the kids. All off the back of cheating. For me this is more serious than inflating their Sponsorship and the £830m is not a true assessment of how they have benefited over this period.

 I didn’t even consider that perspective.

I just found it pathetic that the Man who was found guilty of doping - later over turned. Wore an emblem supporting the Catalans but failed to acknowledge the Cities ownerships human rights concerns, said he would quit if the owners were found guilty and had lied to him. Then, after the over whelming conclusion and a damning verdict has thrown his support behind the club. Has further demonstrated his spinelessness and slimy nature by attending a game where he is likely to face no hostility by the oppositions fans.

You make a good point @Lynch04

I wish the guilty announcement had broke when Pep was manager. Instead the new bloke who has been around for 5 minutes wears the flack at all the pressers from here on in.

Pep will be cheered galore when he pops in to try and be the hero. Chequebook cheat.

Pep is a cancer upon the game and his legacy is like Ben Johnson.

Settlement talks! No no no no no.

I still fear political intervention. The funny thing would be clubs appealing a penalty saying it was nit harsh enough.

This is me now having a conspiracy theory…

Man City vs PSG on Wednesday. Pep being there. Nasser Al-Khelaifi too? They could ask him too help in their case. He has some power in UEFA and could also ‘threaten’ UK government. :man_shrugging:t2:

In return Pep could give him his word to take over once Enrique is done - like would it be such a surprise?

Bit like that odious little brat Sterling making the Gillette ad (no doubt being paid handsomely for it), calling out discrimination, abuse, and prejudice.

Seemed fairly comfortable taking £300k a week from Abu Dhabi at the same time though.
