It’s tough. Maybe I’m too much of a triggered snow flake, but it’s difficult to get past that these are people who are not just modelled on the Murdochs, but have so many of the plot lines taken directly from reality. And despite their universal awfulness they are written quite sympathetically. I dont want to ever be in a position where I’m made to feel sympathetic to any of those scum bags.
It is genuinely very funny though. Keiran Culken’s character routinely has the killer lines, but the scene in the second season where Shiv was concerned about the societal impact of them buying the other news network had me rolling laughing.

Fully agree, it’s the absolute highlight of the show!
This is kind of what I mean, they are all undoubtedly scumbags, but it is the tongue in check way it is all presented that makes it so compelling to watch.

Squid game - I think I’m an example of coming to it too late and it never being able to live up to the hype. I definitely enjoyed it. I’m fascinated by the fact that the two most successful Korean productions ever are both essentially critiques of wealth inequality. I think they did a good job with it and portraying the perversion at both ends of the spectrum that it can cause, but I’ve seen better treatments of it, notably Parasite. That didnt have the mass market appeal though, and so I think that really comes from the gore and shock value.
I think in some ways its a bit like the popularity early on of the walking dead. They wanted to make a show about depths of depravity people sink to when they feel hopeless, and yet it was popular because people loved the cosplay aspect it and wanted to watch zombies eat brains.

Great actor. Never disappoints.
And they came up with next ones as well! Brilliant! 
What’s the other one? The only Korean shows I’ve watched are Squid Game and Kingdom. I would recommend both.
I almost didn’t watch squid game because of the expected gore. Wasn’t as bad in that aspect as I feared. For me the characters were pretty good and the twists. Also liked the fact that Greg Chun did the lead’s voice over.

Started watching Doom Patrol at the recommendation from my best man. Where was I this whole time?! An outstanding show, I probably had it mixed up with some other comic book-based hyper-production TV show, I do my best to stay away from them (unless it’s Legion). I wonder if anyone else here has seen it, I hope that the rest of it is as good as the first half of the season 1.

No, I think in the UK you have to have access to HBO or something to get it. I really want to watch it though. I saw the episode they were in of Titans (I’ve only had chance to watch about half a dozen episodes of that show, was OK so far).
