I’m not a huge fan of Stark Trek (I’m a Star Wars geek) but must admit i loved the last JJ Abrams 2 or 3 films.
I’ve just watched the first 2 episodes of Star Trek:Strange new worlds tv show and it’s a really good watch.

The film was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. Peacemaker the show was one of the most enjoyable bits of TV I’ve seen in years. John Cena is amazing, but there’s a guy in it called Freddie Stroma who plays a character call Vigilante and steals most scenes he’s in.

I find it highly amusing that the one year the UK has a genuinely good song, we get beaten by a totally political sympathy vote.

The Irish song was at least on a par with the top 5 or 6 last night. But the voting system wouldnt allow it to qualify for the final.
The UK entry had a decent voice, but was an average song and the singer is very irritating. It was massively overrated by the judges. Really they need to get rid of the judges votes because since 2019 the clear favourite of the audience has been robbed by the judges vote. UK should have been top half but not close to winning it. Moldova was the clear fans favourite (not counting Ukraine sympathy vote) but barely got any of the judges votes.

I watched Anatomy of a Scandal this week, some new British political scandal mystery drama thing on Netflix. Absolute Shite. Steer clear at all costs.
I was about to start my rerun of Better Call Saul in preparation for starting the final season, but I just realized they’re doing that shit 2 parter thing with the second half of the season not being shown until later in the summer so I’ll take a bit more time before I start that rerun.
Im at the end of season 2 of Yellowstone and trying to avoid starting the third season for a bit. I know some people love it, but I find it tiresome. Everything to do with the native community, their autonomy and their interaction with the rest of the community is great and a much under covered type of narrative. Most things Kaycee related are good as well. But everything Beth is in involved in is a scene chewing mess. It’s mostly the same with any interaction between Costner and his kids. It’s like a writer saw one episode of GoT in which Tywin Lannister was being a dick to Cersei and said “lets make a cowboy version of this.”

The dialogue in ‘Anatomy of a scandal’ is laughable. I made it through about 12 minutes.

They use this ridiculous narrative device of making the character act out the way they’re supposedly feeling…like a character gets a shock and they person gets thrown backwards like they’ve received a literal punch in the gut. It’s so undergrad film school shit.

Moldova came second to Norway in the Eurovision watch party I was at last weekend (bringing some European culture to these Americans!). Ukraine third. UK was 23rd out of 25.
