Watched the first, loved it, then got rid of Sky and never bothered again.
Watched both of them in full with the missus - enjoyed them, but yes Handmaids Tale can be a hard watch at times.
Missus and I started Stranger Things off a few weeks ago. We just finished Season 3 last night. Itâs been entertaining, but not amazing. Weâll be starting Season 4 up in the next few days.
I loved season 4. There are elements of it I understand that people didnt like and I understand why. But to relate it to my previous comment about good shows needing to start off with a good picture of the story they want to tell, I think this latest season really brings that into full focus and I think makes the whole think that much bigger and better.
How dare you, I love that show.
Donât get me wrong I love Uhtred of Bebbenberg and his exploits. Iâll probably pick it up again soon. But thereâs a pattern that you can see, almost like 80s episodic shows.
Arenât Man U playing them in Europe this season?
This is my favourite start to a review of LoTR:trp
âAll the fuss about the alleged âwokenessâ of âThe Rings of Powerâ is so pathetic. You have to be truiy, madly bigoted to care about the skin colour of a fictional elf or a dwarf.â
Thatâll be next year, once Utd drop from E/L into E/Conf
I gave up part way through series 2. It was just unpleasant. The book is brilliant and there was a very good film version.
I believe that Margaret Atwood has written a sequel which would be interesting.
I find it offensive that there were no white orcs.
Looking forward to season 4 given we enjoyed the first 3.
One thing i never finished was House of Cards. Missus went off it and i never bothered finishing it solo. We got part way through season 4 or 5.
I am ok with the âwokenessâ on Rings of Power as long as there are no Orcs with bleached teeth.
The final season was awful. They seemingly had to rewrite it on the fly after the Spacey sexual predation shit came out right as they started filming. But by that time we were also a couple of years into the Trump presidency and it all just felt depressing and mundane rather than shocking
It ended in shite, without Kevin Spacey the series was dead.
Thatâs white face, even more offensive.
Iâm late to the party but⌠Barry, folks, watch Barry! My word, if it isnât one of the best shows Iâve ever seen.
BIll Hader and Henry Winkleman
its a great concept.
by series 723 you wonder ifâŚnahâŚi wontâŚ
