The TV Thread redux

Binge watched Wednesday with my daughter till 4:30 this morning. I think it was a bit long-winded with some unnecessary twists and turns. Or maybe, it wasn’t meant for a 50-year old. Very enjoyable.

The wife bullied me into watching the first episode of Harry & Meghan last night. Actually, wasn’t too bad, for terribly self-serving fair. Always had a soft spot for Harry since seeing him walk behind the coffin. So far so good. I’m sure tonight I’ll be bludgeoned into Episode 2.

Brilliant. I’ll deffo be looking out for this. I was sad to see it finish. :+1::sunglasses:

Half way though season 2 now [White Louts] and it is SO good. It’s quite different from the first season as it’s far more focused on the drama of the dysfunctional interpersonal relationships than the comedy of it, but if anything that makes the Jennifer Coolidge scenes hit that much harder.

I’m guessing it was Wayne ‘Potato Head’ Rooney who picked this guy to play him eh… OR maybe that is what he thinks he looks like when staring at the mirror :0)

Pepsi, Where’s My Jet

WTF did I just watch? Dont know if it’s available outside of the US, but it’s a funny story I knew nothing about.

Yeah its on Netflix Uk,I watched it last week,I’d never heard of any of it either tbh,it certainly didn’t put Pepsi in a good light, especially that other promotion they ran in the Philippines in the early 90’s,what a shit show that was.

They had a question about this in QI recently. Quite interesting

Just finished Better Call Saul. Brilliant.
Looks unlikely there’ll be another season, unless a Bobby Ewing style storyline is conjured up

Saul is definitely done and Gilligan has said he doesn’t have any intention of doing anything else related to that universe.

AMC has spent the last 10 years living off the success of Gilligan’s shows and the Walking dead, and so now without either they are struggling terribly and is in real risk of getting swallowed up in the move to streaming. You can see them throwing massive money at him in a desperate attempt to stay relevant, but it seems that if he took it would be to do something completely different. He’s already signed a BIG multi year deal to do something new with Apple so its look like he’ll be occupied for a while anyway.

Anyone recognise the TV presenter in this pic…?

Is it Cilla?

I started Black Bird, one of Apple’s new acclaimed series. I’ve been pretty disappointed. Not sure if it’s the show in general, or just whether I struggle to take Taron Egerton seriously. Probably only worthwhile as Liotta’s final role, one in which he is dealing with ill health and facing up to his mortality.

Third from left Jeremy Clarkson before he was a cunt.
