Watch him getting loaned to newcastle etc.
I donāt think Salah goes if he thinks we can be challenging again next season.
Heās in immense shape and unless he has some kind of Fabinho-eque drop off I think heāll want to keep playing at the absolute top for as long as he can. Maybe the year after when his contract is up heāll look at Saudi Arabia as one of his options but even then he could probably do a couple years at somewhere like PSG and then take the Saudi cash and heāll still tear that league a new one.
Unless we want to cash in on him rather than lose him on a free or his physical stats drop off a cliff I donāt see either party being really that keen on him leaving next summer.
Once the Saudis came into the game, I always expected Salah would end up there, but the only question would be timing.
Now seems too soon. We would need a lot of cash and more time to act on a replacement, and on Moās side he has more Liverpool goals to score to get us back to the CL.
I assumed the big variable would be next summer. Would Mo go then, or stay, assuming we were back in the CL?
I do not like the Saudi window being open long after the Prem window closes. It is not difficult for the governing body to sync that across all leagues, up to being a bit more order to the transfer market.
Gerrardās team are just meh within the Saudi league, but you can put to bed any hopes of a Saudi bidding war since 4 teams are owned by the state, so they will not be involved in a bidding war, one team decided by the state will be allocated the funds to make a bid for Salah and the others will not be involved.
And just to point out imo the "private " owned clubs will also not be involved in a bidding war as that would mean they are bidding against the state ā¦canāt see that being looked upon with enthusiasm.
If weāre letting Morton go we must be pretty confident of securing another midfielder. I know he wasnāt likely to be heavily used but youād have thought he might be earmarked for some cup action and bench duty should the injuries stack up.
Also probably a sign they donāt think heāll make it here. Loans seem to be the beginning of the end for players of his age. A second one despite the thinning out of senior midfield options points to him not making it here.

Donāt see how Morton leaving on loan means weāre getting another midfielder in.
Yeah canāt understand what someone that young goes to Saudi. Itās the money of course, but still.
Weād be wise to sell him next summer
Looks like some news reports are coming out that 105 million pound bid for Salah is in. I donāt think he will leave but are there world class strikers/wingers available? Think most went to Saudi and PSG. Osimhen isnāt affordable. All from Brazilian league have signed for Chelsea. Think next year all strikers will be valued at 100 million!!
Gossip.
I am now of assumption that they are just doing this to disrupt our season and itās connected to Newcastle.
Nothing will come of it.
Dominic and Harvey can play RW. We need defensive cover.
Why would we weaken ourselves when we have finance to do a deal anyhow.
We can say no we did with Suarez.
Literally no point, we say sorry too late come back next June. The only reason I think Fabinho and Hendo left was due to the fact they werenāt nailed on starters anymore.
Fans seem very keen to sell players who we have no contingency to replace.
Weād immediately lose 30 odd goals with someone like Nunez who still isnāt a regular starter.
This isnt a real thing.
Phillipsā issue is he isnt very good and the one ting he had going for him, his fitness, has been impacted by injuries since he signed for them.
I donāt know how true it is, but there is a perception among a lot of Muslims that the flexibility the Saudis give to foreigners to live their live is not afforded to foriegn muslims. For Hendo, as long as he out of the streets at prayer time and doesnāt publicly embarrass the state heāll be left alone and even supported to do what he wants to do in the privacy of his home. Muslims are supposedly held to a different standard in ways that can be quite obtrusive. I know people from as varied places as Turkey, India, Morocco, and Lebanon who are all practicing Muslims who have had to spend time there and all vowed to never go back if they dont have to.
Moās faith is obviously important to him, but he is also quite clearly liberal in his views in lots of ways that would make living the life imposed on your as a public muslim in Saudi likely very unpalatable.
Doak as well. Doesnāt mean we should sell one of the most prolific goalscorers in our history one week before the window closes.
Itād be pure lunacy to even consider it.
Interesting perspective, cheers.
Kalvin even.
Thereās 3 of them?
