Most clubs would though.
As I said we don’t need to entertain it and no doubt the interest will dematerialise a day after Newcastle play us.
At what point do you stop selling. These people are only interested in stirring the pot.
They won’t be being told who we are looking at in the market.

It’s no coincidence this ‘concrete interest ‘ in Salah has materialised 3 days before we play Newcastle. It’s intended to unsettle the player and disrupt our preparations for the game.

I would be shocked if they weren’t genuinely interested. I think a Saudi official said a while ago that Salah would be one of the main ones they want, but they weren’t sure if it would be now or later, due to Salah possibly wanting to score more goals and achieve more things at Liverpool.
If (big if) they do close a deal this window for Mo Salah, what would/should we do in the market?
Kudus? Sane? Other?
I do not like how their transfer window stays open long after the Prem window, especially with noises like this one about Salah coming out from reliable journalists like Ornstein.
I just say no, we say next summer fine, if he wants a contract that does that then we look at how it suits us, even his agent who isn’t shy has dismissed it for this season.
Easiest way to get this lot to fuck off is to actively say no. Remember this is all coming from them all we’ve heard from Salah is his agent saying no.
We’ve got funds to buy what need, there is no issue on that. Wouldn’t surprise me if there is a fair bit of exodus in a year from that league.
Also Salah would still have options in Europe.

Só club won’t sell, player hasn’t been made an offer
Only way I’ll change my mind on this is if we suddenly sign 2-3 players for around 150m
you know by the time shit breaks on twitter (via Ornstein), there is smoke somewhere…
Was the same with the Caicedo/Lavia thing
But Ornstein is saying the same as Jacobs.
The clubs position seems unmoved.
Exactly all on the club and it’s going have to be an offer mostly upfront. Can’t see the club selling for the prices they will shell out.
true… but as we have seen over many transfer windows, players are so easily swayed…
but for what Salah offers them outside of football, they might shell out a LOT…
Player can be swayed all they want.
Liverpool and FSG have been steadfast on deals before. I don’t think he actively pushes for it, he isn’t semi first team like the other two and he is still at the top.
Ok sell.
Then what? Way we go about it it will probably take til the summer to buy someone and sorry but no Elliott and Dom are not replacements and then it means we need another midfielder.
Another season without CL doesn’t care about whether your bank balance is healthy players will lose faith and what of your other stars? They will also want out and you start losing them closer to home.
The club has to say no. Simply no need to do a deal.

All very true… but would not be surprised if we have not heard the end of this.
Liverpool have insisted Mo Salah is NOT for sale. -
