Ait Nouri is from the headless chicken football school. A haaaardddd pass for me.
Air-Nouri is more of a wing back than a full back imo, wouldnāt be overly keen on him in a back four. Kerkez is the more complete player whoās looking more and more like Bournemouthās standout player along with Semenyo.
Ait-Nouri has looked great anytime Iāve seen him. A full back in the Trent and Robbo mould of early Klopp years. Obv not at that level yet and not so much in Slotās system.
Would agree that Kerkez looks a better prospect though
Excellent point, well made.
It seems that Moās agent has been hard at work ā¦
Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal want to sign Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah, 32, in time for next summerās Club World Cup. (Mirror), external
Barcelona are also interested in signing Salah when his Liverpool contract runs out at the end of the season. (Sport - in Spanish)
Liverpool plan to open talks on a new contract with their Scotland international full-back Andy Robertson, 30, in the summer. (Football Insider)
Yes, we should be offering Andy a new contract, but maybe not a 3-year one.
If Al Hilal were to sign Mo in time for the club World Cup, does that mean it would be a January departure? Or can he see out the season?
Not commenting on the merit of the idea, just the timing.
I think it implies a January sale. The transfer window doesnāt open until June 1st (correct me if Iām wrong) and the CWC starts on June 15th. I would assume that in order to be eligible, players would need to have joined the club before the 2025 summer transfer window.
On a side note, I donāt understand why we donāt qualify for the tournament. Not that Iām keen for us to be in it, but we do have, and have had for the past couple of seasons, a better UEFA co-efficient than some of the other European teams that are taking part.
Donāt see Salah wanting a move in the January.
Heās got the league and the UCL to play for.
if we are still there or there abouts in late december, and citeh are still coughing and spluttering, i cant see anything of the like happening over the winter periodā¦
maybe a consideration at the start of this season, when no one really expected us to be where we are at the start of Novemberā¦
just cant see it, Mos Numbers are still good enoughā¦be a real kick in the guts, even if we were to replace him with 2014 Lionel Messi regenā¦its still not happening
Special contract exceptions have been approved for this summer to allow players to play for new clubs at the CWC
Iām sure this will lead to speculation that Trent will be off in January in order to fill RMās RB vacancy right away.
Liverpool are preparing a Ā£50m (60m euros) bid for Real Madridās 24-year-old France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. (Fichajes - in Spanish)
There are also these:
Arsenal have held talks with the agents of Sporting forward Geovany Quenda, with the 17-year-old also a target for Manchester United , Manchester City and Liverpool . (Teamtalk)
Liverpool and Bayern Munich have been told by Eintracht Frankfurt they will need to pay upwards of Ā£50m to prise 25-year-old Egypt striker Omar Marmoush away from the club. (Fussball News - in German)
If Trent wants to go, and he wonāt sign a new deal, I would reluctantly be open to a January move if a cut-price deal for Tchouameni was on the cards.
I think he would have been world class had he signed for Klopp from Monaco. He went to Real Madrid and has done ok, but they have been so well stocked in the middle of the park that it has been very hard to shine.
Iām not altogether sure how good he is on the ball. We have some excellent midfielders and we are not desperate, as such, but he has attributes to bring that would round out the group. Endo has done nothing wrong and is a good player himself, but I would see Tchouameni as an upgrade for that type.
On the other hand, if we sign Tchouameni in January and keep Trent to the end of the season, assuming he will then be off, I will be fine with that too, so long as Trent stays focused. But if his head is starting to already drift that way, January would not be out of the question for me, ideally with a cut-price good player coming this way.
It goes without saying that I would rather Trent signed a new deal and knuckled down here for the duration.
Wouldnāt want to have half a season with Conor and Joe as our RB options. No disrespect to either.
Marmoush scored a cracking free kick right in the top corner earlier today!
Sociedad is 12th in La Liga and 25th in Europa League. Itās time, Zubimendi.
You know that if Trent goes to Real they are interested because heās free. They get a budget option at RB while weakening a CL opponent and they will sell him after one season for a big profit (perhaps even to one of our domestic opponents) if everything isnāt perfect.
No, its the other way round, heāll be free because they are interested, and have had time to wait.
Time to lie in the bed that he made for himself?
