The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

The Ecosia search engine knows him so well that when you search images the first photo is Slot :joy:

Cheap

Cherki is similar to Ben Arfa he will only score a goal if he dribbles all 11 opposition players. Slot might be able to change his ways though he has managed it with a few of Klopp’s players already?

He was a very good player I remembered, is he still any good?

13 goals in 19 games this season including goals against both Madrid sides.

Rumours are that every club from Barcelona to Newcastle want him though so chances of us getting him look slim, if indeed we are interested.

PSG would be a good destination for Mo; high profile but not too demanding. Of course, it would be better if he stayed.

Paris St-Germain are in talks with Egypt striker Mohamed Salah over a free transfer when the 32-year-old’s Liverpool contract expires at the end of the season. (L’Equipe - in French)

Who?

Bournemouth are willing to consider offers for Antoine Semenyo in the summer, with Liverpool among the clubs interested in the Ghana forward, 24. (Football Insider)

If we buy anyone from Bournemoth then I think it’s more likely to be this guy.
Liverpool hope to beat Manchester United to the January signing of 21-year-old Hungary full-back Milos Kerkez, who Bournemouth value at ÂŁ40m. (CaughtOffside)

And this ‘usual suspects’ one.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham are monitoring Borussia Dortmund’s 20-year-old England Under-21 forward Jamie Gittens. (Florian Plettenberg)

Semenyo looks a good player whenever i see us play them. Pace, good ball control. Not sure he would be good enough as a regular starter, but depending on price wouldnt be the worst signing we could make.

I do feel anything linking us to Bournemouth players is just lazy rumour.

Unless it’s Kerkez.

I just think it’s the Hughes 2+2= Rubbish

I think that relatively reliable Hungarian press reported that Liverpool were closely tracking Kerkez’ progress since his Alkmaar days. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was indeed Liverpool’s next left back, though I remember from last summer that there was some kid from Argentina who was said to be on the verge of transfer and then it all went quiet on that front.

If we really do want Kerkez , we will get him.

I’m on the Kerkez bus and would be happy if we signed him. I also like the look of Hato at Ajax, as an alternate.

I like Jorrel Hato also. Have seen him play close to the requisite 10 matches. He has all the tools to be world class, but is still quite young, only turning 19 next March. Might take him a season or so to get up to speed with the PL, but if he did, would be a standout LB for many years.

Kerkez, at 20, has already shown that he can compete at the PL level. Don’t think there’s a “wrong” way you can go choosing between the two, but I’d lean toward the proven commodity.

If we do get Hato at a reasonable price , what’s stopping us from signing both ?

Pep is that way

We could make it a hat-trick and also sign his French cousin Chapeau…

Lol. We do require 2 LBs and the club might just decide to move Tsimikas on too.

Pep doesn’t play with wingbacks. He spends millions on them only to have CBs invert and park the bus.

I am no expert on Kerkerz it’s just very easy fodder as is the other Bournemouth link.

Me or you could write this and we would probably get at least 1-10 right.
