The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

You’d imagine that bringing in a winger to replace Salah would by default mean that club would have to bring in a more than competent centre forward, so that the burden of goals could be shared among them. Currently, I’m contributing to goals and assists as much as Nunez and Jota is only marginally better than me in that aspect.

I hope that such a transfer, should it transpire, would mean that there’s a buyer for Nunez in the waiting. Diaz won’t become a top class finisher over night but I would expect that he scores more goals for Liverpool than Nunez by the end of the season (provided both were fit).

So was Trent when he made his debut - and look where that got him!

BREAKING: Napoli’s formal request for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remains around €80m package! Kvaratskhelia’s camp, discussing terms with PSG as they’re prepared to offer over x4 his current salary.

If we do sign him I will call him KK and hope he does as well for us as Mighty Mouse did.

From the Beeb …
Manchester United are set to rival Paris St-Germain for Napoli and Georgia forward Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia, 23. (L’Equipe - in French), external

Liverpool could also move for Kvaratskhelia if Napoli allow him to leave this month. (Athletic)

Liverpool and England midfielder Harvey Elliott, 21, is attracting interest from Brighton and Borussia Dortmund . (Lyall Thomas)
(Some bloke on what was Twitter. The BBC’s standards are reaching new depths.)

I’ve no idea who Lyall Thomas is, but I think a move like that would probably be in Harvey’s best interests in the long run. In the summer, of course, not now.

Edit: That’ll teach me to read the thread before posting.

Bohemian Rhapsody song incoming

Especially if he goes near Grealish or similar players and they go down like they’ve been shot as usual. The first line of the song will be very adequate and i’d love to hear the Kop singing it:)

Not optimistic about this signing. Napoli arent an easy club to deal with. Having 3 contract negotiations currently running i dont think we will sign anyone.

‘Running’? Limping would be closer to the mark methinks.

Possibly a repeat of the Diaz and Spurs situation then, wait for them to arse about negotiating a fee then swoop in.

Sign Kvaratskhelia, he would be one signing no referee is going to caution or send off as none of them would be able to spell his name

It’s meant to be. I’m getting the green kit with his name. This deal will get paid off in shirt sales in no time.

I’m a tight Yorkshireman his name is too long and would cost too much in adding the letters to the shirt

I hadn’t realized we pay by letter. I’ll go with Mo then.

“Apart from PSG, ANOTHER club whose name has NOT been leaked has also joined the race to sign Kvaratskhelia”, reports Le Parisien.

Do we think there’s any credence to the possibility of Elliott to Brighton? I’m conflicted. I don’t want him to go as I think he is a smashing player, but he seems underused by Slot. There have been some chances for Elliott to get minutes and give others a breather, but Slot is barely using him.

If that is going to be how it is, then I won’t begrudge him a move. If it is Brighton they play nice football and I think he would do well there.

Any Brighton players we might want to see come this way? Baleba? Pedro?
