It’s a wonderful wonderful city as well so can imagine Edwards being keen to spend some company money on having to go there for some “business trips”.

As recently as 10 years ago it was still listed among Deloitte’s list of richest clubs, but look to have been driven into the toilet in pretty quick order by the guy who heads up the group who owns Palace. I’m sure PSG’s emergence has affected them and their revenue potential, but this appears to be largely debt related. So I imagine it is similar to the situation that H&G got us into.

That being said, now they have sold both the stadium and the very successful women’s team. It’s a weird proposition to invest in.

Liverpool are “tipped” to buy Isak from Newcastle.

He would be a dream signing for Striker but really expensive.

Maybe if we can sell Darwin Nunez for a hefty fee we make that move but in the mean time press X to doubt this new rumour.

I dont think he makes it up. But he doesnt appear to quality check his sources or realise some of them are not particularly recent.

I agree it would be good if he could say where his rumours are from.

Wherever it comes from we are not buying Isaak! I also do not think he worth anywhere near £100m. Just fits the current system at Newcastle.

I don’t think Matty was saying that, but the “sources” may be, which is why it helps if they are specified.

No footballer is worth that, but that’s the market. He’s a brilliant player. Can’t see how anyone can watch him and doubt that. Seems a lovely human being too. Would be unreal in our system but just can’t see it happening

We had our chance. We didn’t take it.

Had we offered for Isak first , there’s no chance he would have joined sandcastle over us.

At this point , it makes no sense to push for him even if we have the money. Might as well look for someone else coming up who can be just as good.

Vini is untouchable, but there have been rumblings about where, exactly, Rodrygo fits with him and Mbappe, though they’re seeming to find their roles better now. May have something to do with Jude sitting deeper, and being playmaker rather than goal scorer.
