He also name-checked Kerkez in that article, so thereâs that as well. I think itâs an open secret that Nunez will leave and that a left back will be signed but I didnât like how dark he sounded on the matter of new contracts, especially Konateâs.

Joyce usually sounds more concrete this all seems a little perhaps and who knows type stuff.

Like no shit Tsimikas is not our long-term left back solution. Heâs 29 this year.
I love it when we can find solutions internally, but unless Iâm much mistaken we donât have anyone coming up in the pipeline who might be good enough. Beck, Chambers, and Scanlon, no matter how good their quality might be or not canât seem to stay fit anyway.
It was more the definitive mention of Hato that caught my attention. Not sure Iâve seen much in the way of links to him beyond the 2+2 maths people were doing when he showed up at Anfield a few weeks back.

rumor now has it that Real Madrid have agreed terms with TAA to a 4 year deal that will pay him 348k per week.
Donât know why Liverpool wonât pay TAA 350k per week. That seems appropriate for such an important player who was slated to be our future captain. But hey who can pretend to understand FSG?
Finding a premium right back is going to be difficult. Is anyone really convinced that Connor Bradley is ready to start in that position for us or do we need to go into the market for a replacement?

Have a look at Real Madridâs revenue, then have a look at ours. They earned about ÂŁ1bn last year, we earned around ÂŁ600m.
Our wage bill is already about ÂŁ360m or 60% of turnover. Paying Trent ÂŁ350k a week would equate to ÂŁ18.2m a year or 5% of the current wage bill for the clubâŠ

I hope he is smart enough to insist on a return to liverpool without a transfer fee clause if/when it all goes pear shaped. We wonât be paying them to buy him back and he only has to look at lil mickey owen to know what can happen

It crossed my mind a few times, yeah. Weâll see if there is some sort of clause for a potential return one day. But no doubt there would be a fee involved, or after a certain time, etc. Conditions.

Iâm pretty sure that his reason for wanting to go to RM is not simply to get more money. Itâs about status and playing for the biggest club in the world.
