Is that Frankfurt’s Ekitiké? Seen a bit, was impressed, but then immediately have to think of the recent history of players overperforming for them and then being sold for shit loads of money.

It would be nice if we signed Mastantuono, as he is so highly rated. I remember when we could have signed Aguero, but wouldn’t go up to 17M I think it was. In today’s money that’s 40M, and it would be nice to get a player like that before they land elsewhere in Europe and become a 100M+ star.
It’s been talked about for a while - the balance between taking the punt on the potential/rough diamonds, or letting the likes of Brighton bring them in and see how they fare.
I’m all for more of going for them earlier. We’ve seen us do that domestically too of late.
As a side note, I’ve never heard of this guy - but fuck me FSG out if we don’t secure him.

Think he gets hyped up because he’s smashed a couple pearlers in from distance. I really don’t see it with him in the way others do and I’m sure you’re not getting twice the player of Delap or someone who’d do more than Darwin has for us.

This is an interesting piece on the strikers who are likely to be in demand this summer
It includes Darwin in the list, but in turn doesn’t indicate we have serious interest in any of the rest. The closest it comes is saying the top brass like Isak but are unlikely to consider it too much given the likely price tag, and that we showed interest in Sesko before he moved to Germany but not sure about now.
