Šeško is great - and I think he’d be a very good option given that his style of play is in line with Slot’s - but I’m a bit tired of seeing Liverpool constantly getting fleeced by Leipzig and none of those players exactly setting the world alight at Liverpool, at least not consistently. For that money, you’d expect a finished product.

Unfortunately, I haven’t seen the price quoted for Ekitike (and I also haven’t seen nearly enough of him to be able to pass judgement ). I thought Leipzig wanted something like 80 million euros for Šeško (allegedly a gentleman’s agreement between him and Leipzig, not a release clause)?

We’re also being linked to a 17yo Argentine, left-footed right-winger called Mastanuono. I know nothing about him, but seems like he’s played over 40 first-team games already for River Plate, and is also being linked with moves to City, Inter and Real.

Turns 18 in August, and given it looks like we’ll have Mo for another two years, a young high-potential player who can sub on for him and play cup games initially at least, who’ll hit 20 just as Mo leaves us, looks like a decent idea on paper anyway.

Never seen him play but the SCOUTED podcast did a series reviewing the U17 World Cup and rated him very highly.
