The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

For the sake of discussion, I expect Bajčetić to have a trial of sorts in the pre-season, McConnell, Danns and Koumas to go out on loan and Doak to be sold.

Yes, apparently Bajcetic has done really well in Spain. I’m hopeful he’ll be the extra midfielder we’ve been looking for.
LB, RB, CB and CF are all necessary.

I suspect he means after the summer when players stat preseason. He’ll return to England to join up with the rest of the Liverpool squad to prepare to win back-to-back league titles

McConnell is interesting because Arne specifically said that he wanted to retain him and not send him out on loan. Danns and Koumas yeah, I’d expect them to go out on loan again but Doak? I think it depends on what the offers are. I don’t think we’ll sell him unless there’s a really great offer.

Something about that person reminds me of Núñez, perhaps it’s the weak moustache…

After watching Kerkez and Huijsen today do the double over arsenal we should sign both.

I don’t think that word means what you think it means…

AN_L knows the word ‘inconceivable’, but he doesn’t know what ‘conceivable’ means.

It’s conceivable that Princess Buttercup was not into ANaL.

Seeing as though this is the transfer rumours thread, here is our next center back.

There is something you do not know. He is a no left footed…

Liverpool could make an extraordinary move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, 24, with the Brazilian open to a move away from Spain. (GiveMeSport, external)

So we’re selling Mo then? Maybe not. Does Rodrygo also play centrally?

Real Madrid are considering a summer move for Real Sociedad right-back Jon Aramburu, 22. (Fichajes - in Spanish, external)

Right back? Has something happened?

If true, it would also make sense since Salah may not get an extension beyond 2027, and Rodrygo would be the right age to slot right in as a replacement. Maybe, maybe not. I wonder if we’re not just being used as contract extension leverage.

I’ve been reassured by the majority on this forum that Alexander-Arnold is 1000% moving to Real Madrid so this must be his backup.

Or, the far more likely explanation for these is that silly season is revving up again, and most transfer rumours are bullshit.

Transfer rumours seem to come from wishful thinking agents, wishful thinking clubs, or wishful thinking journalists.

I look forward to us signing someone that no-one has heard of, and for a manic scramble for their regulation 10 appearances to commence.

I said a few months ago that I can smell Rodrygo falling a little behind all the main stars (though he should also be considered as one!) at Real and then potentially he might wish to go somewhere where he would be more important (not that he isn’t at Real).

He showed that he can play all 3 positions, this is only numbers:

Still, it’s Real Madrid and he could be perfectly happy there with what he’s doing. But he’s a really good player and sometimes overlooked because of the whole focus (even agenda) on Vini there, plus now Bellingham, Mbappe, etc.

A friend of mine if Spanish who is a Real fan (Madrid local) all his life and he tells me that a lot of their fans who have good understanding of the game rate him technically as a better player than Vini. And I see where he’s coming from.

They got two talented Brazilians who’s best position with time possibly clashed and it was Rodrygo who went to the right side.

Then you had him even playing as a false #9 at times when Benzema wasn’t available, filling in on the left when needed (when Neymar and Vini were out for Brazil or Vini for Real).

In all positions, he showed he’s a high quality player in terms of linking play, defending his part of the pitch well and also providing pretty nice numbers.

Now, with Real still having some issues with balance, I certainly don’t expect to look to sell Rodrygo. He’s the one who would possibly look for something different, but that’s still an if. Plus, he still has 3 years left on his deal.

I was thinking of this more if Salah was to leave, but it would still be something to consider whether we’d be looking at a new high quality option for the left side. If not (especially if Diaz is staying), then he falls in the “high quality player, but not really what we need” bracket.

Then, it would be smarter to continue looking for a striker and that’s it.

Well, depends how you look at it, but yeah it seems like Trent is leaving so there’s that what’s happening. I’m not 100% expecting a new RB, but it really shouldn’t be surprising if we do sign one.

By your data alone he’s played more centrally than on the left.

He has been linked with us in previous years but i cant remember if by anyone reliable. A bit surprised he hasnt been linked more this season…
